Whilst it might sound like a TV comedy program, its actually one on the pitch in Nottingham.

Did anyone else notice the little double act with these two?

1. Somebody passes to McKenna.
2. McKenna passes back to Wes.
3. Wes thumps it up field and we lose the ball.

I'm not saying this happened every time, but to me anyway, it seemed to happen a lot. Its not the 1st time this season either I don't think.

Anyone else notice this?
 
No. Generally McKenna seemed to favour a pass to Chambers rather than Morgan.

This probably would have fitted in the match thread.

Borough did a good job of limiting the space early on. This meant there was little option for Morgan and McKenna. We looked to be setup with Lewis playing high up the field early on. Then it changed and Lewis seemed to drop a little deeper. We then seemed to have more options in midfield and caused them more trouble.

Looks like Ned did a good job in changing things.
 
Yep, there was a lot of pressure on McKenna - and indeed on the centrebacks - early doors. The Boro forwards closed 'em down very quickly which is when Wes and Chambo are at their worst!
 
It was Chambers' inability to play a quick pass to Bertrand that got us in trouble a lot of the time. He dawdled on the ball and played it into McKenna's feet, who had his back to goal and therefore had to give it straight back to him. Chambers would then either have to hoof it long or play it back to Camp.

It's in those situations where we miss Wilson most.
 
I'd love to know what was going through McKenna's mind at the end of the game when Dele went on his yearly run, layed it off for a quick one-two while still steaming forward but McKenna stopped and passed bloody backwards :wacko:

I'm usually very critical of Dele but as an impact sub think he's a great player to have and proved that last night. Too old to start and run about for 90 mins but think last night proved that he can do a job in the garibaldi. He looked like a pumped up Usain Bolt on that run :ph34r:
 
Dele is cool! I'd love him to score, he's like the new moose or something.
 
those suicidal passes along the back line have to stop, rather see the ball whacked forward. Makenna needs to stop the always passing it backwards, he did it so much their players got wise to it and nealy took advantage. Good job they was crap.
