The Jack Colback Renaissance

Didn't think he meant it personally but it was still a great moment. He also scored a vital goal at QPR and then in the play offs. Good servant who I'm sure will have no issues finding a club in the Championship, I could see him going to whichever team wins the League One play offs.
That goal at Loftus Road was a moment that will live with me forever. My son got the Forest bug that evening!

There's nothing like an injury time winner or equaliser under floodlights away from home.

Jack was a huge part of the early resurrection under Coops. Hughton had pretty much frozen him out if I recall correctly. Coops brought him back in to run the midfield while Garner got up to speed. He bossed a lot of those autumnal games.

Just hope wherever he ends up, they look after the Ginger Pirlo.
I'll miss his tactical fouls and his signature landing on the ball to buy a free kick near the end of games.

Don't worry, still got Yatesy for that.

99% sure that is Jack in coaching gear in the background of the new Forest video.

Great spot. I mentioned on here some time ago I think we would do well to look at easing into some coaching role. Model pro and has a lot to offer

I’d be interest to know how fit the players come back from time off. Years ago i think some players would come back to pre season kilos overweight and it must of have been purely about building fitness and getting back into shape. These days perhaps is more fine tuning as I’m sure they all leave with their own ‘maintenance programme’ for the post season.

With players like Jack it’s a shame we don’t send them off with testimonials anymore, well I know it’s not the end of his career but we all know he won’t play in the prem again

A Birmingham supporting mate at work asked me if Jack was any good, he seems to think they are looking to sign him but their fans are underwhelmed. I told him most Forest supporters would not have many bad words to say about him, his attitude and his versatility.

I doubt they're concerned about his attitude and versatility, more about his quality.

He's 33 years old too, it's a short term signing for a mid-table Championship side at best.

If Colback wants regular football at a side who are happy to see him come in then he probably needs to look towards League One. You'd think our mutton molestering friends down the road might be interested given they love giving out contracts to players nearing mid-life crisis ages.

Cook is apparently on huge wages.

I really doubt he is. I've seen it before but he won't have been on much (relatively speaking anyway) at Bournemouth and we wouldn't have been in a position to make it much higher when we were in the Championship, especially considering we were supposedly under a new salary cap under Dane (which I think was quoted at £25k).

If we and he wanted the move we could make it happen, Forest could pay a chunk of his wages for remainder of his Forest contract.
