The glorious demise of Manchester United

I like that Ratcliffe bunged them £300 million and they might run out of money by Christmas. What on earth has he done with it?
I mean it's a load of horse shit

Every football club will run out of money by Christmas, that is the business of football. It's not a petro chemical company & that's his problem, he thinks it is. But the point is club owners bail out football clubs, nobody cares that they shed money and nobody feels sympathy for owners that write out cheques to keep them afloat.

What sort of moron would buy a football club for billions & expect to turn a profit or even turn it profitable

There are very few football clubs that are consistently profitable.

Most of them lose significant chunks of money every season.

Even Real Madrid (Real Madrid!) the world‘s richest club, have to resort to all sorts of chicanery - including selling their training ground to themselves - to raise cash to fund their purchases.

If Brexit Jim thinks he can turn Man U into a consistently profitable company whilst somehow financing a 2Bn quid stadium, and rebuilding an entire squad that is currently packed chock-full of chaff, then I would like a pipeful of whatever he’s been smoking.

If they have no money then they should sell players to compensate for it. They may be shit but i'm sure ratfaces, Eriksen, Mainoo, might fetch a fair amount between them. They can try and recoup some of the money they spent on players like Onana and Hojlund but won't get what they paid.

This is the kind of thing PSR should be picking up
Surely you've realised by now Statto, PSR is not designed to penalise the big clubs, it is designed to protect their dominance.

The old saying applies as much as it ever has done - The best way to become a millionaire football club owner, is to start off as a billionaire.

Indeed - it was said with more than a hint of sarcasm

Because Brexit Jim is used to the likes of us picking up the cost of his mistakes.

Some Man Utd executive was going on about "interested third parties" supplying the finance.

Think that's code for Arab or Chinese money.

Interestingly, they are planning to have it all built within five years, primarily by fabricating sections overseas and floating them down the Manchester ship canal for assembly.

If anyone wants a small preview of what the new stadium will look like in the flesh should go past Forest Rec

They might as well build that revolting edifice in Dubai and play home games there.

It is just a toilet bowl with a tent over it. From its external appearance it could be a mosque, a shopping centre, a theme park or a casino....it says nothing about football.

There is nothing worse... or better, than gobshites running their mouth then completely proving the point of the critics.

Onana is not a good enough goalkeeper to be talking crap, especially when his point of bragging is winning that pathetic FA Cup last year against a guy that's won 2 Premier Leagues, an FA Cup & a League Cup in this country.

FFS, Onana is 29 years old, he plays and acts like an 18 year old inexperienced keeper. I know you gotta be a bit mad to be a keeper but he is just plain stupid - see when he played against us earlier in the season & wouldn't put the ball in the right spot for a minute.

Also wasn't that right at the end of the match when they were pushing for a goal?

Idiotic behaviour

Mats Selz 6 million
Andre Oana 48 million

Have no idea why United are in such trouble.

In fairness though Selz is protected by 2 brilliants CBs that cost 25 million combined. Or about the cost of Maguires left leg......

Stranger still is that Onana had actually improved from when he started. Yet they’re still on a downward trajectory. They just don’t work as a team. They played well against Forest, albeit Forest were knackered but all the pointers look like a team of individuals that don’t really like each other much

Which is nice
