The "Glasner to Forest" Palace Reaction Thread

I think Palace forum contributors need to get a life and move forward with their club and their new manager.
Just like Forest forum contributors need to move on from Pereira and welcome Glasner (assuming Glasner is finally appointed).

They just blame us for their own shortcomings, pretty pathetic really.

Parish shits gold bricks don't you know?

When I did my tour of the grounds, known to me as doing the 92, I tried to find the ground in my car without benefit of sat nav. Nightmare. Then found the ground all locked up for the day. So I took a photo of the supermarket car park, seemed to be the only thing worth taking.

Probably not important to this story but what supermarket? Sainsbury's I've found have the nicer car parks. Morrisons always tend to be a bit grotty

A class put down without being a put down.

Quite like Palace and this rivalry is a bit silly. Will leave that stuff to the internet. Know a few Palace fans and they're a decent bunch. None of them appear to have any issues with Forest either.

Its going to to feel a bit raw now for some of them that the coach who delivered their greatest success has left for a club they've finished above three out of the last four seasons above, and especially because it's us after last summer. But Glasner's success there makes him a Palace legend. As ever when a popular figure's departure leaves a sour taste in the moment, where Glasner went next won't matter to them in ten, twenty, thirty years time. They'll just remember him for those days winning trophies they never thought they'd win.

I live in Palace territory - a mate of mine (brother of my brother in laws wife), when he’s had a beer turns into a nutter - absolutely lost his shit at me at a family gathering when I took the piss out of their rivalry.
Tired of last seasons melodrama - I have no time for anyone who can’t apply critical thinking to a situation. f*** em.

I live in Balham which for the non-London initiated is close enough to Croydon for there to be plenty of Palace fans about

I regularly wear my Forest shirt out and about and have never heard a peep out of anyone

I also wore it when we played them last August down in Selhurst and didn't get any flak from anyone

This whole "rivalry" is a complete non-starter

I used to live in Purley, south of Croydon and I have to say that the Palave fans who are not online keyboard warriors (about 80% of the fanbase) are perfectly sensible level headed fans who just hate Brighton, Charlton & Millwall and bear us no harm. The online hate is a small minority.

That Brighton rivalry is weird, from the Palace side particularly. Charlton and Millwall are both within 10 miles for Palace whereas Brighton is 46 miles away. Gillingham is closer and Reading is about the same distance away too.

I get it more from the Brighton side as there are no decent sized clubs closer to them than Palace.

I expect Charlton and Millwall just got bored of their nonsense eventually and decided to just ignore them. As we should.

This fake rivalry is tiresome now. Makes about as much sense as their shit Brighton “derby” because they once had managers who didn’t get on. Grow up.
