Does anyone know how much money being linked to PremiumTV makes for the club. It must be worth it financially, it's just that i really can't stand the official site and find it a beast to navigate. Surely i can't be the only one not using the OS simply because it isn't very user friendly?

Its pretty easy to navigate, sometimes things like the club shop disappear but in general its ok.

I use it a lot.

How is it not user friendly? The latest news/highlights/interviews come up on the main page and for everything else there's the tabs at the top.

I use it a fair amount. The player too. Because I'm not in Notts the majority of the time it gives me the interviews, commentary etc that I wouldn't normally see on local news etc !

It was the club shop i was after and although i know how to find it, it just seems a little amateurish.

Tickets and merchandise would seem to me to be pretty high on the clubs list but they are buried in the depths of other areas and indeed the online tickets part is a different website entirely. Being constrained by the PremiumTV standard site seems to be a bit of a hindrance thats all. I don't think it's impossible to use, indeed it is good for a lot of stuff, it's just not very straightforward - things at the bottom that should be at the top etc.

The stock on there for the shop is awful ! If they had even a qtr of the stock in there it would be a tad more useful !

This is not something the club could really do by itself for lots of reasons. I know that Trinity Mirror have been looking at this for a long time but couldn't find a good business model that favour them moving away - they have managed to prise about 6 prem clubs away, but no CCC clubs. Basically, the premTV deal is a good one.

It's not bad, for a third-party-content-management-system which is looked after by people who really aren't paid that much given the traffic the site gets.

As garilla notes, it's not impossible but tricky for organisations to take these things totally in-house.

maybe i should have put this in the rant thread cos it appears i'm the only one!

I preferred our OS before we got in bed with premiumTV too. The shop is poor and i use much better ticketing systems. But i mostly find my way around the site, eventually.

AFAIK the shop or tickets are nothing to do with the Perform Group. You are correct though, the shop is appalling, or at least the last time I looked it was. The new ticket site, www.nffc-retail.co.uk, is now OK though - they are using an interactive staidum plan to sell seating and works well linking accounts together to but multiple seats with the rights discounts and release tickets to valid groups at the right times for advanced sales.

The problem is that Premium TV provide a cheaper central management service than going it alone. Websites can cost a fortune to maintain, Man City's flash new website cost £2 million just to get up and running, let alone the staffing costs etc.

I'd rather we'd signed Dexter Blackstock than spent loads of cash having a flashy website.
