Nothing screams Lee Anderson imitation like our politics thread which is just a right wing circle jerk.

It makes me feel slightly dirty, but I wanted Leicester to win the league that year.

Because they also took on the cartel and played in a similar way to us. I enjoyed watching Leicester that season.

You can line me up against a wall if you want. But it's underdogs over the cartel over everything. Was also hilarious how Spurs f-ed it up as usual.
Despite living amongst Leicester fans I felt their title win was good for football generally and reminded me of when
Forest shook the football world in 77/78.

I can remember being in my local bar every weekend with guys who supported various clubs and each week was the same question:

"Do you think Leicester can keep it up? Surely not". Which has all the same sort of hallmarks of what's happening to Forest this season.

As each week progressed, there was a general excitement that they might actually achieve it. In the end, I didn't see many fans that weren't egging Leicester on. Aside from Spurs

Ange was so naive for making such a grand statement about always winning in his second season.

He’s only gone and added more pressure to himself. Then the media keep reminding him to wind him up. What did he think would happen?

Very much so. I like Ange, in a seems like a pretty normal* bloke who made it to the highest level type way rather than thinking he's an amazing manager or anything, but he's stitched himself up there.

Question is whether if he's out tonight he gets the fa cup run as his last chance saloon.

(*Not sure where in Oz he's from - if it's Tassie I take it back because in my experience they aren't usually normal.)

Levy doesn't like to waste money & firing Ange aint going to anything
Given the issues that have arisen around Joe Lewis and his finances in recent months, it may be difficult for Levy to have much room to play with financially.

I don't believe Joe Lewis has a financial interest in the club anymore. It's now owned by the Lewis Family Trust which Joe is not a part of. I don't understand any part of how it affects Spurs but financial stuff confuses me.

Count themselves lucky they aren't in EFL, £12m overspend there means well 8 Points maybe pre Mitigation and Aggravating Factors..sliding scale suggests this..albeit had they stayed down maybe they would only have breached to 2022-23 given the Upper Limit Reset for individual years following a breach but a Business Plan etc without doubt plus a deduction for at least one.

Glad Coops was pushed so he didn't have to go through this shitshow as well as putting up with their ridiculous supporters.

So their argument is they shouldn’t be held to the lower allowance (£83m) but the £105m that clubs that have been in the prem for 3 consecutive years are measured against.

Arrogant pricks! They may want to forget the fact they were relegated but facts are facts. Didn’t see them coming to our defence when we fell foul of the same (admittedly ridiculous) rules.

All seems to point towards them not having any defence, at all.

There'll be a big sponsorship that'll keep them in the clear, I reckon.
