The 3 players BD wants to sign in the transfer window?

Could it be?...........Gareth Bale - Giles Barnes - Jack Wilshere.

or........ Nicky Shorey - Radoslaw Majewski - Jermaine Beckford.

I'd settle for Majik and Shorey; not sure Beckford is all that, if we needed a forward (and I'm not sure we do...) there might be better options out there?

To be honest I'd settle for Raddy and Shorey now. Think that would do us to go up. Then new additions in the summer

Bring it on!

I think Beckford's misleading, he played up for the Man U game. Bit like Commons scoring for the sheep now the transfer window's open. :D

Plus there's that youtube of him being interviewed after a Leeds game where the interviewer asks him about a possible transfer and he points to his chest and says 'See the shirt I'm wearing brah?'

Shorey YES YES, Raddy YES YES YES, and another left sided defender. Then watch us ROLL.

Like previous posts said, I'd settle for Raddy and Shorey.

Shorey in particular is proving a truly brilliant signing. I'd like to think Raddy wouldn't take his foot off the gas or anything if he came here permanently. Tonight was arguably his best performance, certainly workrate wise. I'm not going to utter the immortal words of Grant Holt *spit* but was this possibly a factor? Perhaps being a loanee keeps him on his toes as he wants to impress.

I'm talking bollocks of course and I'd still dearly love to sign him up :D

Tell you what though, what a tough window it is for Billy. We don't need anyone really, certainly not a bad apple like Beckford. The player we need is the next player to get injured, and without a crystal ball it could be literally any position.

We must sign Shorey.
Would be delighted to get Raddy signed up and add a left winger.

I'd say we need Shorey as absolute priority. If we sign Shorey that's an acceptable window. If we could add Maj on a permanent and a left midfield of quality (won't say a name...) then we can seriously start to believe about starting life in the top flight next season.

Could not agree more, if we sign Shorey and Raddy I will be delighted. A left winger would be nice too but that would be the lowest priority of the three.

Don't need Bale if we have Shorey. Bale is not a left winger.

Not strictly correct. Bale is thought by many to be better going forward than defending and if you look back to his Saints days you will see plenty of evidence. However, I find it hard to believe that there would not be a better placed club that would be in for him.

as long if we have a left back like shorey for the rest of the season then we should be OK but if we let him go back at the end of jan and sign nobody else then you can kiss goodbye to the prem, I am sure this wont happen and billy is one step ahead of everyone else he has the nack of pulling surprises out of the bag so i sit and wait

Gunter is as good as Bale, if not better! so this argument is somewhat flawed?

I agree... Raddy will cost 1.6m from Warsaw, I don't think Shorey will be that cheap. They want a return which isn't good for us considering he wasn't third choice. I think BD was looking to add to what he has now... Its down to whether ND wants to chance it. 3 new players would spice it up a little. We're playing well but its easy to get complacent.

How about £1m for Shorey up front and another £1m when we make the Premiership. Splash in the water what with the est. £60m revenue we'd get.

We simply must sign him.

I don't think Raddy will be one of the three simply because he's here til May anyway.

Shorey, Bale and one other. Probably a centre back.

It will be very hard for the board/panel to not sanction bids for the players that Billy has asked for after that performance/result. We might not get this chance again so if ever there was a time to speculate a little, that time is now. Of course, we might not get them anyway but going that extra mile could pay dividends - 60 million of them to be more specific.

We have more than enough fowards and I really don't rate Beckford that high. He has obviously become "the transfer target" after a cup goal against Man Utd. But it would be a bit like signing Odejayi (?) from Barnsley because he scored against Chelsea.

I think there will be a left back in that list and I assume that is Shorey on a permanant and the extended loan is to give time for negotiations to go on without being with no left back.

I personally think a winger or 2 should be in this list I think we really are short. Hence we've had the likes of Cohen and Tyson playing there every week recently, and earlier on we were playing Garner and McGoldrick in these positions clearly for me it seems it's the only position that requires urgent strengthening at this moment in time.
