The ‘I have something to say about Forest that doesn’t warrant its own thread’ Thread

Like you, I proof read my posts before they go out, partly trying to get it right, but also to stop those errors which nearly always seem to either change the meaning or open the way for those with an evil eye the chance to take the piss!

Well yes, though I do have form for occasionally rather uncharitably picking up on other people’s typos (eg the other day I pounced when someone typing Munch instead of Munich…) so people in glass houses…..

And of course as I typed that the gremlins “corrected” Munch to munchkin, but I spotted it!
Lads I’m dyslexic, you can imagine the fun I have with scrambling for the „edit“ button.

Reckon we have loads of people on this forum that could easily do this role, going by their posts. They could probably do Glasner's role, but could start here in the meantime

Just idly, do you know how much they're offering for that role?

Asked chatgpt, which suggested

£70,000–£95,000 base, with around £80k–£90k the most likely range.

Lower than what an AI/Data specialist would get in an industry role. But of course, working in football is more interesting than predicting how many soaps Unilever needs to make.

Thank you.

Id have thought with Coronation Street and EastEnders there's no need for more soaps 😆😉

PRE-SEASON

Twas fortnight before season: Excitement and nerves.
And all through this forum the nutters and pervs
did discuss and argue, recount and regale
a plethora of subjects from cheeses to ale.

Transfers like navels: Innie or outie
Do we agree? Yes, no, maybe, smile, shouty
Schlager; solid. The shrewdest of signings.
Beginning the process of tactic refining’s

Diomande incoming? Delayed tug-of-war
Avid flight tracker, till he’s through red door
Assisted by Jesus and Morgan Gibbs-White
A new centre forward please. One with some height

Bring back a Wingback and give Read a ring back
A Mid at a squeeze or Mac’n’Cheese?
Add a new keeper for those beautiful red nights.
Preferably not a rabbit in headlights

What about kits. The home one’s a tie-dye, or
Dark green and red. That one deserves Mai Tai
The third one’s a mystery. Just wait and see.
One Eight Six Five and you could win one, free!

When all’s said and done, this is pre-season.
The preface & prologue for players to ease in
We’ll drink and we'll shout and we'll go to our beds, dreaming,
Glory incoming. C.O.Y. R!

Season Cards in Phone Wallets

Apologies if this is the wrong thread for this but I realize a season card will only work once on a match day etc. Is it possible to have a copy of your season card in 2 different phone wallets - sometimes I take a work phone to a match and would save me taking 2 phones ?

Cheers

Yes you can without issue.
I keep an instance of my Dad's season card on my phone for the inevitable day he gets to the turnstile and has left it at home!

It's possibly the most depressing thing about English football, it really is.

I’d agree it’s one of the most depressing things, certainly, though I would put it behind extortionate prices, players diving and/or pretending to be injured when they plainly aren’t, the media Rich 6 love-in and the general media ignorance of the non-Rich 6 clubs, and somewhere in the general vicinity of hydration breaks and the way VAR is administered in the Premier League.

The Notts fans had a little ditty for the referee on Saturday (he was not the best and seemed to favour the 'bigger' team ... then of course he was on the TV!). Problem is that I can't remember it!!!
