Apparently UEFA are to launch an investigation into Thursday evening's behaviours by the away fans.
Both clubs are likely to incur sizeable fines, and Fenerbache are likely to be banned from selling tickets for away legs.
Fenerbache also likely to have to reimburse Forest for the costs of remediating the damage to the WFCG by their fans.
I think Forest contract out the security responsibilites to third party experts in the field.
If so, and they failed in their duty, Forest should look to counterclaim against those contractors for breach of contract in not detecting the illicit flares.
I think the stewards are employed by NFFC (but happy to be corrected on this), and the stewarding did appear to be less than positive when the away fans started to misbehave.

This is 2nd-hand, but I've been told that some Fernerbahçe fans were spotted carrying boxes through the turnstiles. I'm hugely sceptical, but the bloke who told me sits in the Robbo Upper, and as far as I'm aware isn't known for bullshitting.

Going into Colchester v Salford on Saturday, they were body-searching some of the fans plus other bags etc. Mind you the 'crush' was such that the one guy on duty at our turnstiles was hardly stretched and it was all rather jolly.
One exciting thing was that I found out how to get into the ground ticketless and using a QR code! As an old tech dunce this was one of the highlights of the day.

Just a word about the Nottingham Forest netball team who are flying the flag for us at the moment.
After a first season settling in they are really giving it a go, though it's early in the season and I hesitate to get too excited about all given our start in the Prem this season!
