Well that's the compensation covered to get Silva.
"What's that Newcastle, you want Ross Wilson? Fine, it's gonna cost you £10M"

On my „sliding scale“ I’d say somewhere between The Clash and Rage Against The Machine. So now he's going too, how much noisier is it going to get FFS?![]()
We were also amongst the clubs relegated in the Championship's inaugral season.Forest were one of the 22 in the inaugural Premier League.
That we missed out on the riches was purely of forest's own making.
We were **** the first 3 teams relegated in that first season.
Forest's Boards of directors have conspired to make some terrible decisions over many, many years.
He was the guy that always appeared on the signing announcements. Beyond that I have no idea, but this has to be one of the longet moves in recent times. There was talk of this happening during last season I think.I have no idea what Wilson did, or how his role differed to Edu's or Syrianos or a whole host of other vaguely-titled middle management at the club.
Can we find out what Ange's release clause is and then we can have a whip-round...Triggered a release? Interesting words used.
Can't we have one of those Go Fund Me things to help get Derby to "poach" Ange off us? I'd gladly contribute! Can we find out what Ange's release clause is and then we can have a whip-round...
I'll start with half a mars bar and a packet of cheesey wotsits

I think Wilson worked on the structures within the club, so made sure each department was working & was a bridge between everyone - so no key decision making, just making sure everything knitted together. That is the impression I get from what people said & his own job description.I remember the days when nobody knew the names of anyone at the club beyond the players and manager and perhaps the chairman. Now it's breaking news when one moves to a new club like they're a £50m striker.

I Keep going back and forth on this too.Question.
Who do folks think our best two wingers are? I keep going a little cold on CHO and then, shame on me, he reminds me how good he is. Ndoye seems to be better on the left so that complicates that side. Bakwa I feel, still has the potential to be the best of the lot but has not hit the ground running and that has shocked me because I saw him as the most exciting one, and Hutchinson who I presumed might be the weakest option of the lot has looked surprisingly effective recently.
I think some of this may be down to the English game. Maybe the pace has taken Bakwa by surprise and is something that Hutchinson is already acclimatised to.
We have gone from having 2 obvious starters and a pecking order, to four maybe’s. Not saying it’s not nice to have four quality options, it’s great, it’s just an everchanging confusion in my mind to who I think are our two best.
I have deliberately not included others who can play wide. MGW, McAtee etc. and am very aware that we have many different types of games this season and will require all of them, but who are your favourite/best wingers and why?
I think we share very similar views on this mate. I really want Bakwa to get more game time but not if he's just not doing it and we have someone else waiting in the wings... (sorry). The last time I watched Bakwa, there seemed to be some sort of mental block preventing him from wanting to take people on and from the highlight reels I have seen of him (I know!), that is exactly his jam. That is what he is good at. That is why he was bought (I presume). He will obviously get more time in Europe because Hutch is not in that squad.I Keep going back and forth on this too.
CHO is definitely not what he was previously which takes him on par with some of the others as it stands but he does have the highest quality within him.
Bakwa could potentially be the best out of the lot in the future but he needs a run of games and probably needs more time to adjust to life at Forest/PL than others.
Ndoye still feels very lightweight to me and seems afraid to go at his full back at times but he does possess quality and he does look more threatening from the left.
Hutchinson. I was initially unsure about but I've been really encouraged by his performances when he's come on as sub and he's arguably looked the most threatening and the one who's prepared to constantly take the full back on 1v1.
Taking stock of that leads me to believe that my current starting wingers would be Hutchinson on the right and Ndoye on the left. I'd give plenty of time to CHO and Bakwa to come on and use their pace in the final 25 mins of the game though. CHO is one of those that can produce quality at any moment even off the bench. Bakwa needs decent minutes to get him acclimatised but we probably have to be patient with him.
That's my conclusion but I could easily see the arguments for people that might go another way with their choices. I'm not for defending Ange really but you can see the difficulty he's got in deciding who would be the optimal winger deployment.
You've gone with a similar outlook to myself and Ripple their then Captain.CHO is a class act - but with the loss of the pace he had as a youngster he looks less like a traditional winger these days.
NDoye - I think he has great potential, but until he shows it he will continue to frustrate.
Bakwa - I have yet to see anything that marks him out as a real talent, and I am not sure he will ever make it in the Premier League.
Hutchinson - we definitely seem to have a real talent on our hands, and I hope he gets a run of starts. I was sceptical when we signed him (overpaid by a lot, in my opinion).
I'd be tempted to play NDoye on the left, and Hutchinson on the right, with CHO playing a more central, behind the striker role.
Where that leaves MGW and McAtee though is another concern.
On current form, McAtee is completely unsuited to our team, and MGW is struggling playing so far forward, with no space in front of him.
Also, Chris Wood is clearly struggling without the likes of Elanga to burn the opposition away with his blistering pace, and telepathic understandin as to where Wood will be, ready for the tap in from Elanga's pin-point cross.
Hutchinson on the right, Ndoye on the left, assuming that the team plays with fullbacks to shoulder some of the defensive burdenQuestion.

I would have taken Toney in a heart beat when he was moving to Brentford. You've gone with a similar outlook to myself and Ripple their then Captain.
With regards to Wood, as I've mentioned previously, playing in a high possession team doesn't suit his style as much when you need rotation around the box and your playing combinations. He's not one to create goals for himself either which what you're also looking for with strikers when you're playing this way.
I know this will be an unpopular opinion but I'd potentially look at Ivan Toney in January.
Either I've misunderstood the term or they have!
That came from the "albino" chants levelled at that former sheep-shagger who now plays in midfield for Palace.
Yes, but the term itself means being albino, as opposed to discriminating against someone who is?That came from the "albino" chants levelled at that former sheep-shagger who now plays in midfield for Palace.
