Unfortunately Christie has neither passion nor the skill.

Dreadful player who needs replacing ASAP.

I doubt Chrisite will want to be at Forest when the supporters are allowed back in.
There was a piece in The Athletic recently when he said in interview that he doubted whether the fans would ever take to him because he was at Derby.
I was yelling at the screen "That's not the issue... look at other players who came to us from there... the issue is they were good players... that's the issue".

Yup. He looks like a player who knows he’s not going to ever play in a league above again, or even much more internationally (when Coleman and Doherty are fit) so he’s just going through the motions at a level where he feels he can do the job with minimal effort.

He’s been poor though. If he played like that when he was coming through at Coventry, I doubt he’d have got his moves to Derby, Boro, Fulham etc.

Ive never seen a player to let the ball run off his foot out of play so easily and his reaction to it you’d think it was a good thing he had done. He couldn’t give a shit about losing the initiative

Glad I'm not the only one amazed by this. You talking Christie right ?

Christie has been average to poor (it was the reason I didn't want him because it was everything I expected) but at least he gives us an option to go forward which Jenkinson doesn't and I also think he is a better defender than Jenkinson if that is possible. So it just highlights how bad and how costly the Jenkinson transfer has been to us and will continue to be.

Yea Christie

Waves his hands around like it’s everyone’s else’s fault or as if he’s questioning if it really matters

No heart for the club. I’d have him gone today right this minute

Is rather have a young lad or even someone playing out of position.

He was pretty adept at that little trick.

I said the exact same thing when I saw the article. I couldn’t give a frig that he played for Derby several years ago. The fans wouldn’t take to him because he shows all the passion of a turd and is the epitome of mediocre.

I said it before and I'll say it again... my Sheepie mates were pi55ing themselves when we signed Christie.

I’d rather have Gabriel there. He didn’t look quite ready when he played, but there’s every chance he’ll improve. Christie just turns in his average to poor performance every game. Very poor footballer. He’s been lucky to have the career he’s had.

This, he doesn't look bothered to be here. I know some players just naturally seem that way but Christie just seems to be going through the motions.

Compare that to the other side where Ribs mught not be as good technically but makes up for it with his energy and enthusiasm.

Why would he though?

Honestly why would he care?

I don’t buy all this bollocks about he’s a professional etc etc. The reason he has suddenly popped up in the press is because he has been getting so much stick from various places

Why would any of the loans care

Feel for Darikwa to barely have a look in after coming back from a serious injury. Surely there can't be much between him and Cyrus 'I've got the physique of a 40 year old PE Teacher' Christie ??

Out of contract in June so that’s the last we’ve seen of him.

Never really thought he was of the required standard, but could probably say the same about everyone who has played at RB instead of him, apart from Cash, obviously.

Good luck to him.

They looked at him previously.
Unless he's not recovered properly I think its a mistake to have signed Christie because he's not an improvement on Darikwa, and it actually matters to him.

I think they are both pretty similar to be honest, only difference really being the injury.

Yeah end of Tends time here. I mean I think in a half decent team he would have looked better, maybe would have suited Lamouchi as he can support the attack. But in a way his injury allowed us to profit from Cash and keep the club chugging along.

With Christie just a loan, that we should bin off. That leaves us with Jenks and one of the kids I hope.. I can see one of them being a useful spark in the squad, alongside a centre half duo of Scott/Woz

No problem with him, need to get bodies off the books and this works for us.

All the attributes, before injury, of a decent fullback. Played better when Daws was in the team, constantly talking to him. We used to compare him to the scarecrow from wizard of oz “if I only had a brain”.

I’d guess the ACL took a toll too. Lost a yard of pace I’d guess.
