The A610 stretch between Nuthall and Eastwood is probably the worst case of daylight robbery and nothing to do with road safety. There’s barely any traffic on there outside peak times, no pedestrians anywhere near yet they regularly have a speed camera vehicle parked on there lay-by on the corner on the downhill stretch as it goes from 50 to 40mph. Disgusting.
Was told by someone in the police years ago that the speed limit was reduced because a local councillor lived just off there and was fed up of the noise!

Thanks for letting me know as I regularly drive faster, ahem, than 40mph on this stretch of road when visiting family.

It’s a safe, fast, dual carriageway and ridiculous that it’s artificially throttled to 40mph.

I think we'd miss him both on and off the pitch if he went. I think he's one of the best fullbacks in the league personally and he'd be really difficult to replace.

Agree: some of his defensive stats were in the top few % in Europe, let alone Great Britain.

That's huge news, to me the most important bit of business we need to do this summer is keep our defense as it is and provide reliable backups/rotation options. So Aina, and Neco, signing new deals is massive.

I'd like to think that things like this would help sway the likes of Gibbs-White and especially Hudson-Odoi who is clearly good mates with him. But I suppose business is business and money talks.

We’re all a bit restless on here for some positive news when in reality most of football are probably still on their jollies.

I think keeping the kernel of the side is most important this Summer, as we showed last season that they are pretty decent footballers.

If there is to be a change of style, I suppose a couple could be allowed to go in order to bring in new blood to adjust the system.

This is a really significant transfer window because consolidation was spectacularly achieved last season, but has to be continued this term in order to secure the future. It would be so nice to be in that mid-range group of clubs who occasionally reach for glory, but are solid in the Premier League heirarchy.

He possibly tricked me too first season - I was concerned he had 'switch offs'; can't accuse him of that last season and could well be that he never did in the first place.

(Fwiw I still think he did actually - you sometimes get that from those with enough genuine pace to bail them out. He has certainly ironed it out, if it ever were the case in the first place!)

Ola on the verge of signing a new long-term Forest contract, according to Daily Post Nigeria. They report negotiation is advancing positively, and an agreement is regarded as a formality.
