I feel like they are totally taking the piss, surely an explanation was the main objective today, to release a statement and they fob us of with this.

Despite all the rumours, even ones I had heard (left with egg on face) they still leave the fans guessing!

All I can say they are playing a very dangerous game. They either need to let us know what happened, or if they have got QUALITY loan signing lined up then make it happen on the day the window opens NO LATER!

Its either 4 forest? which one?

1. ND is selling?

2. Davies is going, didnt want to back him?

3. we are skint?

4. We have quality loan signings lined up which will enable us top 3 by jan to then get prat and whitts on a free or little fee.

I hope for your sake its number 4 to prove you are what you say, good business men lol WHATEVER!

But that message on the OS is taking the absolute piss!

Re: Takign the...

Doughty just bought out a company for a rumored £300m, so I wouldn't worry about his finical position. Maybe Nige is just bored with forest?

Re: Takign the...

Maybe he just thinks footballers are ****s and he doesn't want to rain his heard earned money on their chavy personages? I'm sure we've been over this before, we don't know what he's thinking, but its obvious he doesn't think spending a bomb to get to the Prem is the way forward. The "why" behind that is pure speculation.

Re: Takign the...

just noticed the benefits qouted on there are better than I get as a bloody season ticket holder at £500 a year!!!!

Re: Takign the...

LOL I just hope we have quality loan signing by the time we play Milwall otherwise...

VERY angry fans

Milwall fans... erm not a good cocktail is that

I don't like cocktails. Just though i'd say.

Which Clever Tw@t......................

Thought this one up?

http://www.nottinghamforest.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10308~2141766,00.html

Just another kick in the teeth for all those ST holders & those that pay up front.

Do they think that everything that's gone on with no signings etc. that they will be struggling to get the crowds in by the time the Swansea game comes around - so here's a little sweetner.

Lose to Millwall and we will be pulling in 15,000 (if we're lucky) crowds.

Re: Which Clever Tw@t......................

To be fair to NFFC, last season they gave people an incentive to buy NFFC Membership for £20 with the guarantee that over the season you could save £20 on the price of matchday tickets subject to the games you could get to. The offer was exactly the same this season and it was made quite public so people could make a choice between getting a season ticket, buying NFFC Membership or neither. It's not like the club hid the fact from people buying season tickets that NFFC Members would recieve a few discounts here and there throughout the season.

Its still cheaper on a game by game basis to have a Season Ticket :)

I think it was Billy who recently said to the media that the younger players are too rich too fast and pansying around in flash cars and designer clothes and jewellery.

Of course, its probably correct to assume ND would agree with Billy on this comment.

Yeah, maybe Nige and Billy have been chatting about this matter :)

I thought Doughty Hanson bought it?

Not looked into the details too much, but I'd be surprised if Nigel bought a £300m company.

You don't need money to buy a company, look at the Glazers! Why, just put the cost down as debt, and lumber your new acquisition with it!

Never let the truth get in the way of a reason for people to try and slag off Doughty.

I suppose the setup of such a company is alien to many, to be fair. To a casual observer its a reasonable mistake to think that DH use Nigels money to buy things.

You would think the casual observer could notice that DoughtHanson is made up of TWO names. But some people miss that and think it's only Nige running.

Maybe ND see's the ludicrous wage demands, transfer fee's, agents fee's as a warning to the stability of our great Football Club..

Seriously guys, he's a better businessman than me or you, so our club is in very safe hands.

Paying 2-3 million for mediocre, unstable, overated players is never going to happen again at Forest, so we need to get used to it.

Times have changed guys, we are not going to compete with Cardiff in a game of he who dares are we, because unlike Cardiff's chairman we are in it for the long term

Patience Grasshoppers!

Isn't there every chance this patience won't get us to the Prem?

What if NFFC had never taken out loans to back Clough in the transfer market? Just a contrasting thought ...

Interesting point, you think that's the case for Darren Whittingham? They were overpriced? Overrated? Both?

This is the way I am thinking, until something happens to change it. :worthy:

so our club is in very safe hands.

It rings a little hollow when you consider the disaster that has been the last 11 years. They are not so safe as to keep us from dropping into the 3rd division, or being on the verge of financial meltdown in the past.

We dropped into the 3rd division due to our dire financial situation. I don't know if you remember it, but there was a point when we were on the verge of going bust and it was a VERY worrying time for all concerned. We signed players like Danny Sonner and Nicky Eaden because they were cheap. It was blatantly obvious they weren't of the quality to replace Scimeca and Louis Jean but that's what happens.

Who knows what would have happened without our chairman at the helm? May I point out a couple of years later he also forked out an estimated £4m on the Trent End loan when the council were closing in.

I'm happy enough to see us on the rise once again, it may not be this year we go up, but with patience, a decent set up and clever transfer policy we'll be ok. I'd rather have a steady, challenging club than one that risks everything for a shot at being a mediocre Premier League team (see Leeds/Derby/Cardiff etc).
