Just checked on thecityground.com. He got 5 yellows for us but no redsI can't recall Taiwo ever being sent off for us, but I do remember loads of occasions when defenders knew they were going to lose an aerial duel with him, so they'd go up with an elbow or arm into his body, then go down as if Taiwo had fouled them. More often than not, the ref would unfairly give the free kick against Taiwo.
He was so strong in the air that defenders seemed to know the only way to compete with him was to make a meal of the challenge.
At least we know he's more qualified than f***ing Edu.In case you were missing the smile. Congratulations Taiwo!!
We can take him back in a few years as our global football director

I remember their fans really making a difference when we played there on the first day of the season five years ago. We were winning for much of the game but their fans suddenly broke into a sustained chorus of Twist and Shout (which I hadn’t previously known was something they sang) and it sounded like the whole ground joined in. They kept it going for pretty much the rest of the game, during which time they scored twice to win the game. I’ve thought of that a few times since then when our fans have similarly kept the noisy support going to drive the team on.Think there fans are currently right behind the players, noisy and clapped off when they lost 5 nil against Brighton.
Good for them if that’s so. There’s been little but pessimism from the ones I talk to.Think there fans are currently right behind the players, noisy and clapped off when they lost 5 nil against Brighton.
I think the COVID outbreak in the Forest camp in the lead up to the game had an effect on us running out of steamI remember their fans really making a difference when we played there on the first day of the season five years ago. Ah yes, I’d forgotten about the Covid outbreak. I only watched it on the telly so didn’t have to run the gauntlet of delirious home fans…I think the COVID outbreak in the Forest camp in the lead up to the game had an effect on us running out of steam
in the 2nd half.
It also doesn’t help when your goalkeeper decides to fumble the ball over the line in the 96th minute.
I agree with you about the Coventry fans though-they were deliriously happy outside the ground as I contemplated the 40 minute walk back to my car.
I hope the ground redevelopment puts an end to away fans and home fans leaving the Brian Clough Stand by the Lady Bay exit as I find it threatening at times.I think the COVID outbreak in the Forest camp in the lead up to the game had an effect on us running out of steam

I’ve seen some threatening behaviour when I’ve occasionally used Lady Bay Bridge as well,Captain.I hope the ground redevelopment puts an end to away fans and home fans leaving the Brian Clough Stand by the Lady Bay exit as I find it threatening at times.
Having lived through the desperate bad times of war between opposing supporters i think the present situation is going to spark violence at some point.
He’s just a wholesome bloke and a damn good role model is Taiwo.BBC News - 'I made a promise to my dad to keep studying' - Awoniyi graduates
