Head Coach Steve Cooper added: “There’s been a lot of interest in Taiwo from other Premier League clubs, and other clubs across Europe, so we’re delighted that he’s chosen Nottingham Forest.

“Our recruitment and coaching teams have been monitoring his progress closely over the last few months. He’s a player who we really believe in and we look forward to him going on to fulfil his potential and become a top Premier League striker with Nottingham Forest.”

Is the red shirt in the video the new home kit (If it is I heartily approve!)

Still without a sponsor which suggests a deal hasn’t yet been finalised?
We might see 2 separate commercial deals. One as main shirt sponsor and another for training wear as with BOXT and PetVet last season

So to summarise the Athletic article:

- Very very good at pressing.
- Played in a 3-5-2 in a team that didn't have much possession, all the teams that had less average possession than Union last season were relegated.
- Is very quick & physical.
- Hit & miss finisher but gets into the right positions (but scores those he expects too), the club believe he could develop into a 20 goal striker.
- Needs work on his hold up play, but better at running in behind.

You look at all his goals and most of them are him running at goal from a counter attack.

Brilliant! I'm hopeful about this signing, and interesting that his 'weakness' is Surridge's strength - hope he steps up to play a part next year later in games, as if he gets chances he'll hit the target more often than not.

We've done our research that's for sure.
Multiple top teams were after him... he's done the business in a team that's finished 5th in the Bundesliga, and we've won the race to sign him.

Very very happy  (y)
