Swansea Away

Youth Team
I know its a long time away yet but i was just wondering how many people are on about going to this game.
Me and my mate from Uni are going to this one so we are making a long weekend of it. Plenty of beer and 3 points hopefully
Might catch up with a few of you down there

I was going to give this one a miss due to lack of funds, however my mate who lives in Swansea wants to go and i've been talked into it! It's a horrible away day though :(

Whats so bad about going to swansea mate??
a few details would be nice because i have never gone before.

Firstly i'm sure it's down to the fact is such a long drive.

The ground is smart, but basically in the middle of nowhere. From my last trip there, all i remember is a chippy across the road & a frankie and bennies. City centre & train station are both a fair distance away.

Atmosphere is good, well was when i went anyway. (Can't comment on the last two years tho). Away facilities are also good, though I seem to remember police keeping Forest fans in after the game for a while.

Finally, if your going via car, the bets thing to do is use the 'park and ride' system they have for home and away supporters. It's not expensive and you park yoru car in a secure carpark while a bus basically takes you to right outside the away and, and takes you back to the car park from the same spot.

Have a good un

Yeah the park and ride is excellent. Makes it one of the easiest grounds to drive to, as the park and ride is almost right on the motorway.

I loved the atmosphere at teh Liberty Stadium too. Nice and feisty without getting too nasty.

Pretty sure this was one of our lowest away attendances last year, right? I guess that's because a) it's quite a trek and b) we have been in the same division as them for a number of years now

Does anyone know why the Official Site has released details of this match before details of the Sheff Utd match?? It's a bit weird considering the fact Sheff Utd away is actually before Swansea away?

It might be because Swansea are more organised and so have let us know how many tickets we have and sent us our allocation early. It's rare details of away matches are published this far in advance though.
