Summer 26 Transfer Window

Frankly: No.

There is a very good reason why that shower from München aren't taking up the offer to sign him permanently (hint: he has not pulled up many tress).
All I saw was him being shit at Chelsea last season but surely there’s a player in there somewhere? Why else would Chelsea spend 80mill and put him on a 14year contract!?

Because they are a bunch of useless scalpers, whose business model demands they try and sign every single available player, to deny them to other clubs?

Actually, make that five assists, as the young man has just chipped in an absolute beauty of a cross for Ermedin Demirovich to score for the VfB!
What about Taiwo for VFB Strummer? Is he someone that could fit there?

The club already has a „target man“ striker, in „Mido“ Demerovic, but the Nigerian, who of course knows this league, would be a useful player.

I was thinking along the lines of it it turns that Kalimuendo deal doesn't happen at Frankfurt then we might look to keep him and Taiwo going back to Germany could be a decent move all around.

I'm just thinking out loud here but I wonder if there's a case for a Kali and Taiwo as the two man frontline to swap Woody and Jesus out too. Possibly too much to keep everyone happy but could work if we find ourselves needing rotation because of Europe again.

Forest have approached Gregory Lorenzi from Stade Brest who is leaving at the end of the season to become the new Sporting Director. He wants to work with a bigger budget.
Very interesting guy. Buys a lot very cheap, sells for profit. Perfect for the sort of thing we do.

That would be a very interesting signing, if it is true!

It sounds like you're thinking that we might not need to buy a striker in the summer window....

That depends.

If we're going to stick to the 2 man front line I'm happy with Jesus. If we're reverting back to the lone striker than we definitely need to buy one.

Nicholas Jackson’s option is not being taken up by our German friends and it seems Chelsea want rid…. Would anyone see him here as our potential wood replacement?
I would snatch your hands off for him to be honest

He is prone to be wasteful but is also a complete handful that creates bags of chances by himself to make up for it.

Even at Bayern where he has barely played (for obvious reasons), he's got a goal every 116 minutes.

He is a player you can file under Dawin Nunez or Lukaku where he doesn't have the killer instinct for the very elite level, but would be a consistent goalscorer and threat at the level just under that. And he's only 24. No brainer to me if he is on the market & open to join.

I would just give it to Syrianos. He has taken a more senior role recently, we surely know what we are getting with him now - and clearly a model professional based on his past with us.

Although the role of our Sporting Director may be different to what we get Syrianos to do, who is probably more about talent ID rather than the whole package. I'll leave it to the club.

I can vote for that, his input - left alone to do his job - set my local side on a path that has provided European football in the last two seasons, and a squad packed full of exciting young players. And the club is looking at a fair bet for more European footy next term too, quite possibly in the Champions' League.

Syrianos clearly knows his onions.

I don't think it is.

I can see why people would think that, and I wouldn't be against it, but I think Jesus, Wood and Awoniyi are a nice mix of different types of strikers and they're all reasonably good at this level.

Our problem this season has always been the build up to getting in the box, not the bit after. I don't think our wingers are as good as our striking options neither in individual quality or variability of what they bring to the team. Fixing the winger issue is significantly more crucial in my mind and if budget is limited I'm happy to leave the striker situation as is for one more season.

I stand by this after the last two games.

Hutch has stepped up a notch and MGW taking CHO's left wing berth has made us immeasurably more dangerous going forward, and all three of our current strikers (and probably four, if Kalimeundo comes back) are good enough to help convert the additional chances created into goals.
