Looks like Rio Ave Sporting Director, and former Juve scout, Matteo Tognozzi will be involved as part of the recruitment team with Syrianos.

Seeing as it’s the topic of the day (as I am sure clubs recruitment strategy is to just recruit from a managers old club), if I could pick any player from Palace it would be Munoz

Munoz would be great instantly but at 30 / 31 I’d want to be picking up a long term successor for that position. Hopefully the recruitment team pick up the 21 year old version of Munoz

I was having a look at other clubs transfer window so far. I was surprised to see over £800m spent all together already.
It’s going to hit over £1bn of spending before Forest even get involved in the Market.

And over a third of that involves Spurs buying a selling.

People mentioned it earlier but the new financial rules are going to have a big impact, you can have seasons where you essentially just go for it - you would assume the way football is, everyone is going to pick this season to do it & then make up the difference in the next few years.

There is a lot of money sloshing around, everyone seems to be selling a £60-70m player. I genuinely think we are going to spend £250m+.

If I were picking a name out of a hat of teams that should be worried I would definitely look at Fulham. Silva will be a big loss for them, they still haven't even replaced him as far as I am aware & they aren't the type to spend much so could definitely get left behind although I bet you can make some kind of case for every team.

It's worse than that - they have replaced him - with Alvaro Arbeloa.

You can make an argument for half the league struggling next season.
3 promoted sides.
Fulham have lost their manager, Arbeloa has nothing on his CV to show he is up to the job.
Bournemouth lost their manager and have europe with a small squad.
Sunderland potential second season syndrome, could lose Xhaka and have europe.
Palace lost their manager, will no doubt lose a player like Wharton, the french CB, Sarr.
Brentford if Thiago doesn't score the same number of goals as last season could struggle.

Easy to pick apart any of these sides.

I'm not sure I'm keen on that. January is notoriously difficult to recruit in and hyper inflated.
True. I wouldn't mind keeping a bit back though, for the "I want to stay and fight for my place at [big club]" players who may turn us down in the summer but change their mind when they have made 4 appearances by January.

Plus, managers 2, 3 and 4 might want some of their own players in January.

We are involved by overinflating the Market prices on players...Bad Bad Forest.

We've had a bid for Hull CB Cathal McCarthy turned down.

Edit: Forgot to add that he's only 19 but we've put a serious 7 figure bid in. Highly thought of.
