Linked to a Polish CB at Roma.

He does look like our kind of player

Been in & out the Roma team in his debut season but is only 20 & is quick and massive, already got into the Polish national team.

We really don't need another CB though, unless we intend on creating a drought of tall quick centre backs over the next 5 years to create a market shortage of them.

I think we do need another CB, fully expect us to add another.

Ziolkowski really hasn't done very much to this point. He hasn't had as much game time as expected, the first choice three was Ndicka, Mancini and Hermoso with Zeki Celik often coming on the right of the three if needed. Even when Ndicka went to AFCON Ziolkowski still was used fairly sparingly. He was purchased as one for the future in Rome so it would seem odd to turn round and sell him after a year. Plenty of potential but not the kind of deal I'd be expecting Forest to do this summer, at least not for a centre back.

It's been a week since season's end and I've noticed that things are moving slower now than during the last 2 months. Even the usual rumours around Ando have died down a bit. Is everyone waiting for the manager domino to stop and consolidate, including us finally knowing whether we stick with VP? Or is everyone waiting for the WC? A bit of a lull now, in any case.

Probably waiting for one of the first dominoes to fall that will trigger the cascade - I reckon the WC is throwing a spanner in the works as while you can buy before it there's always a risk of injury before/during the tournament (see Billy Gilmour).

So if you're gonna invest £120m in Ando for instance you want to make sure he's fit for the start of the season and Forest certainly wouldn't sell if there's a "but we call if off if he's injured in the WC" clause, so would expect the teams might agree in principle deals that'd be announced once England are out and he's ok.

Rangers are facing a battle to retain highly-rated midfield prospect Calum Adamson, with Crystal Palace and Nottingham Forest among several clubs from England now tracking the teenager closely, @TEAMtalk can reveal.

The 18-year-old enjoyed an excellent breakthrough campaign during his loan spell with Alloa Athletic last season, gaining valuable first-team experience and significantly enhancing his reputation.

Adamson, a Scotland youth international, impressed with his maturity, energy and technical quality in midfield as he adapted quickly to senior football.

His performances have not gone unnoticed. TEAMtalk understands Adamson has entered the final 12 months of his current contract at Ibrox, and Rangers are eager to secure his long-term future before the situation becomes more complicated.

Bet we're only interested because he's a midfielder who's surname sounds like Anderson, so we can pretend he's not gone.

And listen, while we're at it, there are systems for a reason in this world. Economic stability. Interest rates. Growth. It's not all a conspiracy to keep you in little boxes, all right? It's only the miracle of consumer capitalism that means you're not lying in your own shit, dving at 43 with rotten teeth. And a little pill with a chicken on it is not going to change that. Now come on, f*** off.
Since the season has ended I have spent hours watching all the Peep show reels that Facebook has thrown at me. I might as well watch the whole thing from the start.

I regularly listen to The Football Boardroom podcast and they had the CEO of Brighton on recently. He made a good point that these days it’s not just about whether a player is any good, they also have reports on players temperaments and how they relate to team mates.

Whereas we just see YouTube videos and make judgements on that

I'm sure any interest we have in him will have been run past the Serbinator for some input. If he rates him we'll probably go for him.

We clearly more fire power and an Anderson replacement.

If Murillo stays I think we’re more than solid at the back, Netz has looked spot on to me at full back, so between him, Aina, Williams and Savona I’m more than happy. If/When Ortega we will need a new back up GK but it’s not exactly something we need immediately.

We once again need a Wood replacement, we probably need the 24/25 version of CHO back too who can cut in and bend one past the keeper a few times a month. I’m still a bit unsure on Jesus, worked much better in a two but I don’t think we will stick to the 442 when Anderson leaves, he’s so good we could afford to be a man down in midfield compared to the opposition.

I’m sure we will spend a fortune on some random who has a good week in the WC too regardless of them suiting us or not.

anyway, I’m sure we’ll sign 6 players at 9pm of the last day of the window.

Reminds me of wasted youth (it’s a wasted on the young isn’t it) spent playing Championship Manager 2 and trying to build a title-winning team made entirely of players with the surname Smith.

Pointless exercise.
This is exactly the sort of shit I used to do. Trying to track down and sign all the oldest players in the game and have a squad entirely made up of over-40s who all retired at the end of the season 😂

So it looks like Arsenal are after Rogers and Kroupi, but the list of potential outgoings also has some interesting names:
Any move for Rogers, Kroupi or Alvarez could be facilitated by exits in forward areas with the club open to offers for Gabriel Jesus, Gabriel Martinelli while Leandro Trossard's deal expires in 12 months.

The future of academy graduate Ethan Nwaneri, who has returned from a loan spell at Marseille, is also unclear with the club giving serious consideration to a homegrown sale this summer, which would represent pure profit on the balance sheet.

Arsenal are also set to listen to offers for Christian Norgaard and Ben White, while Fabio Vieira and Reiss Nelson can also leave. Jakub Kiwior has already been sold to Porto for £14.7m.

No chance of us getting Martinelli or Trossard, but Nwaneri, Norgaard, White, Vieira or Nelson could be interesting.

I'd be happy for Forest to pay an ungodly amount for Nwaneri. He's a special talent. Even 50m would be acceptable because he'd sell for 80m in a few years time.

I imagine Dortmund and the like would be all over it though, so I can't see it happening. But who knows.
