There's going to be a massive overhaul incoming whatever happens, but the target list is going to be significantly different depending on whether we're in the PL or Champ.

All of the names mentioned on this thread to date assume the former. Big assumption to make me thinks.

We can worry about the Championship if it happens. We have no idea how EM will play it with regards to which sales he sanctions.

Not at all surprised to see papertalk that Man Utd are looking at Sangare .... some talk as well that we're prepared to listen to offer for Jesus

It'll be complete carnage if we go down. I struggle to see any of our first XI wanting to take the drop down.

If we stay up then you'd expect Anderson to go for sure. I don't really aee an obvious move for MGW (but depends on who is managing Spurs/Man Utd etc next year). I'd be hopeful we can get another year out of Murillo

It depends if we get CL via the EL and if we can find EPL safety / stability by the end of the season.

1. Most likely - we stay up. This our 3rd relegation battle and we’re now on our second relegation battle manager. The players should take heart from the Liverpool performance…even if we struggle for goals.

Anderson and fringe players; Awoniyi, Carmo, Cuiabano, Kalimuendo, Morato, Silva and Victor will more than cover any losses.

2. Likely - we stay up and win the EL. We’ve beaten Porto and drawn away at Betis. That’s our likely route to the SF. After that…anything is possible. We at least look strong in Europe!

Loads of money from winning it and a CL spot / revenue next season.

We don’t have to sell anyone we don’t want to, unless they force a move and / or the offers are too good to turn down.

3. Least likely (imo) - we get relegated / don’t win the EL and rather than being asset stripped, we let bidding wars happen for our very best players. We might lose money on a few others, but I doubt we’ll get bent over with EM in charge.

Everyone decent goes most likely. Not even worth thinking about until it happens as it will happen regardless of us stressing over it.

4. Well it is Forest - we win the EL and get relegated.

We will lose a lot of players, but CL in the Championship is still a big draw for a lot of players and would put our draw above other relegated teams and likely promotion candidates.

The worst scenarios aren’t the end of the world, they are just the end of this one.

Change is inevitable..bring it on!

Sad thing is, if we sell all 3 of MGW, Ando and Sangare, it will probably only just cover what we spent during Edu's Summer of dross.
No way we sell ALL 3 of our starting midfield, even forest aren't that mental.
Interesting question to the forum - forget the money element, would you lose Sangare or Anderson if one of them had to go? Sangare has been a revelation recently and may even be more key to how we click than Ando?

I’d lose Anderson.

We won’t get someone as good, but someone nearly as good with a few more goals? I’d take that.

If we go down, we might not have a choice sadly.

Ando would be my pick. Great player, but we'd get more for him and as I've said before someone like Garner in his position would give us more goals from good set piece delivery. I think Sangare is harder to replace because few players have that presence.
