I remember Pearcey scoring a goal from a free-kick against Norwich City in 1986 I believe. Remember listening to Radio 2 live commentary. Can't believe that all these years later, I still listen to games I can't get to on the radio. Old enough to know better, but still get excited!

I live very near a big Tesco...which used to be Wealdstone's old football ground. Pearcey and Vinnie Jones used to play in that team in 1985! Imagine!

Anyone else near here in Harrow, Middx?
 
Also remember Stuart Pearce breaking Bryan Gunn's leg in 95, we wouldn't have gone down that season had Gunny not picked up that injury.

I was at CG one saturday in the 80s when a 'keeper broke his leg - I told someone yesterday that it was Gunn. I took a lot of LSD in the 70s so sometimes my memory lets me down though.
 
I was at the game when the Norwich 'keeper broke his ankle. He went up for a regulation high ball and his ankle gave way when he landed. There were no other players involved.

Any idea when that was, Skipper? I think the one I saw was in april 1987 but cant be sure.

played against Yeading once and pretty sure it was at Wealdstone , did they ground share for a while in the early 90's ?
