anyone bumped into a fellow forest fan somewhere unexpected? my mate has come back from seattle and met 2 yanks he'd spotted with forest shirts on ! their level of forest knowledge comes into question though as apparently they'd never heard of derby :D ah well .......sheepless in seattle :p strangest place i've come across a forest "fan" was whilst working on a kibbutz in israel when this little thai bloke i was digging irrigation trenches with turned up for work with the pin stripe shipstones forest shirt on ;D trouble is he spoke f**k all english so despite my lionel blair attempts at give us a clue i was none the wiser to how and why he acquired it !

I went to the toilet today and there was a Forest fan in the cubicle next to me. He kept putting me off though so i had to keep whispering to myself.

Whilst serving in Afghanistan about a year ago, one of the A.A. was wearing a Forest shirt, obviously off duty. He didn't know much but kept shouting STONIE! when I mentioned Forest

Tank broke down huh? They can take a fair few rounds of ammunition but as soon as you try staying in 4th gear for a while you have to get one of the yellow vans to come make it work again.

Not exactly Forest but when I went to Greece on holiday the Greek fella that owned the apartments we were staying in was a massive Crystal Palace fan

I've also met many Les-Dar and D*rby fans on my holidays.

I'm still yet to meet a Forest fan on holiday.

Did you go on holiday with him? A similar thing happened to me, I went to Spain and the person in the next room was a Forest fan. Not only that but he was my brother. True story

Met 2 Forest fans out in New Zealand 3 years ago. Both in towns no more than 30 minutes away.
One was a lad about 23 or something, shouting 'YOU REDS' or something from other side of the road! I had the Garibaldi on obviously!

Other was an older couple, I was sat down outside, eating a subway with my mates and they leant over and said "nice to see someone wearing the colours", turns out theyd been out there for a few years and were originally from West Bridgford, just round the corner from where my grandad lived!

Does top of Mount Vesuvius count? not many other people bothering to make the climb the day i went last year, wearing my shirt with pride at the top and met another Forest fan, discussed which way would you push a Dreby fan into the crater or over the edge?

I think it's important to try each method, several times, before you come to a decision on it....

Not really a strange place but I was visiting Toronto, Canada several years ago (this was when I still lived in Nottingham) and as I walked out of the train station I literally bumped into a Forest fan. He didn't just have the shirt on though, he had the full kit on....shirt, shorts, socks etc. I congratulated him on his good taste in football teams :)

Saw a bloke and his son in Scarborough the other week with Forest shirts on so I just sparked up convosation with them about it, it's all Hull or Leeds up here.
And was in the toilets at some bar in Zante and some Danish people knew I was a Forest fan, and so we spoke about Cloughie and what not :)

At Vancouver airport, the bloke on the passport control desk saw I was from Nottingham and asked if I was a Forest fan. We then chatted for a couple of minutes about Brian Clough and how far we've fallen, much to the annoyance of the people in the queue behind me! ;D

I was on a scaffolding training course in Feltham, West London (near Heathrow Airport) on Monday just gone... The bloke doing the training was...a fellow Tricky fan (who'd driven down that morning, despite the M25, just like I did...we were both late!.)

To the bemusement of the other people in the room (who were all from south of the Watford Gap) we proceeded to put the Mighty Reds to rights for 5-10 minutes.

Suffice to say, I passed the course in exemplary fashion! Score!! ;D
