I dont really want to be moaning any more and im not that botherd abput our style of play unless we win, but i'am really worried having watched most of the games were billy has been in charge all we have been doing is playing the long ball to Tyson. Not saying we should of stayed with calderwood but we played a lot of good football we was extremelly unlucky! hope this changes because we have the players to play good attacking football and actually doing well in this league

YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU REDDDDDDDDDDDDDSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

We haven't just been playing long ball at all I turned to my mate on Wednesday night and said to him it's nice to see Tyson getting the type of balls he loves, think his goal against Sheff W and when he won penalty. We did lump it towards end of the Derby game but that is exactly what we should have been doing in the situation.

We knew what we would be getting when we appointed him - if we wanted stylish football we should have gone for Clough or Curbishley (who were my preferred option) but if we want success at a price then BD seems like a viable (but less atractive) option - IF THE BOARD BACKS HIM?

I am, I like to think a football purist, my best pal a Fester fan always laughed and said I would be happy to see Forest pass themselves into deeper relegation.

Horses for courses at the moment, we have a small limited squad, BD has to play them in the style and positions he thinks will achieve the best results for Forest, as for my purist theories, when we survive I may discuss them pre-season, as for humping it forward, so far I would prefer to have it described as accurate long passing.

The reason for this theory, under BD we are creating far more danger for the opposition..........playing to the squads current strength ?

End thread!

Sure, we play a lot of balls into the channels for Tyson but it works extremely well, so why wouldn't we do it? And as pointed out, Tyson won a penalty from a short through ball by Cohen, and he scored a goal from a through ball by McLeary. Earnshaw's goals have generally come from play like this or crosses into the box.

Great point by segered too. These long balls are usually lofted balls into the channels, not just aimless hoofs up top. We've got a lot better at doing that this season and passes into the corners aren't going off for goal kicks or throw ins as much as they have done in the past two seasons.

That said, we do need a tall striker though, to play that way if needed. And also so we can score more headers from crosses/corners - which is a weak point these days.

I would prefer we played a good mix

The stlye of these posts are as bad as the football Forest played in the second half On Wednesday. In the first twenty minutes though we were fast, attacking, neat, incisive and pleasing on the eye. More of that please Billy.

at times I acrtualy think we have played some bloody good counter atacking football tbh and its working as with the pace of tyson we are leaving defenders looking very silly when they try and push up and cath us offside on the break.

I don't think anyone should follow any one particular stlye. Your Stlye marks you down as an idnividual. Don't just follow fasihon. Be yourself and show your true slef. This is the essence of stlye.

Don't say 'I am an EOM, I am a Goht, I am a Ratsa.' Say I am em, I am uniquique. This si ym stlye.'

Be bold, be brave and above all be ture to yourslef.

did you say you were a teacher ? i think you must have gone to the same teacher training college as the staff at Kimberley Comprehensive

We can start worrying about the quality of the football when we have avoided relegation. As things stand is does not matter a jot how we play, as long as we do enough to retain our championship status.
