Honestly, it's so great to see folk pull together like this. The media and social media are so negatively bias that it's easy to forget there are a lot of good people out there.
And, amongst a plethora of Forest fans, I'm also seeing donations from Stags, Leeds, Sheff U, Shef Wed, Villa, Plymouth, Newcastle, Palace, Everton, Norwich, Ipswich, Wolves, Grimsby, Portsmouth County and a fair few Derby fans too amongst others. There's even a Benfica fan in the mix.

I'd expect primarily medical care and rehabilitation/reconstruction surgery which may be required, and potential loss of earnings as a consequence?

I should think the club will organise something for the home game against Brighton given that it’s Remembrance Sunday against Leeds. Would be great to give this man a round of applause and guard of honour pre-match and maybe a Forza display. Amazing that the club have donated money towards his recovery. I cannot imagine being in that situation and confronting an armed person with bare hands - an incredibly brave man.
Yeah having seen footage of him being interviewed he could possibly need some significant plastic surgery on his hand at least, and good luck to him.
That the club have chucked-in another ten grand, is frankly, f***ing brilliant.

Difficult to know just what one would do in that situation. Whatever happened to land him face to face with the nut case, to attempt to take him on with just his bare hands is mighty brave.
Deserves his moment in the sun. And the club must be on cloud nine; a football fan, and a Forest lad at that, has done something good to show we're not all neanderthals etc.
