Stefan Ortega Moreno

I think 10th, unless you count Hennessey twice, or Kanuric (who wasn't technically u21, but wasn't signed for the first team either)?

Henderson, Hennessey, Navas in the first season
Turner, Vlach, Sels in the second season
Miguel last season
John and Gunn so far this season
I counted kanuric although couldn’t remember his name

Ortega is a very good keeper and will give us serious competition for Sels. I
Normally we have one good keeper and if they are out for any reason we end up in farcical territory.

With Sels and Ortega we have 2 genuinely good keepers, either of which I'd be happy to see in goal.

Good keeper, some would say very good.

Excellent business from the club providing competition and back up to Sels.

Funny that we signed him today, it's also 2 years to the day since we signed Sels. Welcome to the club! (Although to be completely honest with you guys, I hope he plays as little as possible. 😂 It's going to be interesting, if anything.)

I kind of hope he plays loads, should mean we’re going a long way in the Europa?

Why should he be starting in the Europa though? Except if he's been promised such a thing.
Seems to be the way, give the first choice a rest and the back up some playing time so they are match ready if they’re needed

Nottingham Forest is pleased to confirm the signing of goalkeeper Stefan Ortega Moreno, who has joined until the end of the season.

The experienced goalkeeper signs from Manchester City, having played 56 times for Pep Guardiola’s team where he was part of the 2022/23 Premier League, FA Cup and UEFA Champions League treble winning squad.

Prior to heading to the Premier League in 2022, Ortega had been plying his trade in his homeland, Germany. Having joined Arminia Bielefeld as a 15-year-old, he would go on to play 220 times across two spells, helping to guide Arminia back to the Bundesliga in 2020.

The 33-year-old now heads to the City Ground on a permanent deal until June 2026. Everyone at Nottingham Forest welcomes Stefan to the Club, wishing him the best for his time on Trentside.

Global Head of Football, Edu Gaspar, said: “Stefan arrives here with fantastic experience and a winning mentality, having been part of such a successful team for the past few seasons.

“When it became clear the goalkeeper position was somewhere we needed to address, Stefan stood out straight away. He will provide great competition for our group of goalkeepers, and will help the team on and off the pitch.”

didn't realise he was German, thought he was spanish with a name like Ortega
I’ve seen him play a few times for Arminia Bielefeld - he always struck me as a very confident keeper, one who bossed his defence and who was in command of his penalty area.

He’s a decent keeper in my view and a solid signing.

hopefully he can teach Sels how to dominate his box - Sels is a good shot stopper but I feel he gets easily bullied at times
