Did I just sit through Ref Watch on Sky for them to not even mention the Forest game? Or am I dreaming! WTAF!
you omitted the words "to ensure the Premier League gets the result it requires."Michael Oliver will be the ref at Tottenham.

*1He warned their keeper about 8 times for time wasting, should have booked him after 3.
Morgan Freeman: It turns out, they do follow the same rules...If Premier League officialdom can blatantly behave in such a biased and prejudicial manner, as so helpfully evidenced by the way Chelsea have been treated in comparison to the likes of us and Everton, why is it so hard to believe officials on the pitch don't follow the same rules?
Liverpool just scored a goal in Europe that was well offside compared. When they said VAR offsides would be fact-based (ie you are either offside or not) we all wondered how they would achieve this perfect result.
We didn't think it would be down to a big toes or an ear, we thought it would say that the players genuinely had a benefit of a decent goalscoring opportunity by being in an unfair position.
Sunday's decision once more proves that offside has nothing much to do with scoring goals and everything to do with imperfect writing and interpretation of the rules.
I mean the second one that was given, not the one disallowed.Liverpool just scored a goal in Europe that was well offside compared.
What the hell happened? It’s like he just thought. “Ah well, surely I’ve reffed enough of this match, they are fine to just crack on without me”Last night's was a strange one - decent for 60 minutes then completely lost the plot for both sidesVery strange
he would have had an easier game to ref had he got his cards out a bit earlier ... 2 kicks to Milos head and nothing but a foul given and some of their shit housery was appalingLast night's was a strange one - decent for 60 minutes then completely lost the plot for both sidesVery strange
Better than the ref in the home leg who refused to book them for anythinghe would have had an easier game to ref had he got his cards out a bit earlier ... 2 kicks to Milos head and nothing but a foul given and some of their shit housery was appaling
Proper weird - he was in control for most of the game then just stopped giving obvious fouls on both sidesLast night's was a strange one - decent for 60 minutes then completely lost the plot for both sidesVery strange
I was expecting Oliver to ref this game. Imho, it's a good assignment. He tends to be fairly calm when dealing with stupid shit, and I expect there will be a healthy dose of that against Spurs.
I just don't buy into the conspiracy stuff. I think there is extra pressure for refs at that level in dealing with certain clubs. But I think that is more of club legacy dynamic than it is some sort of concerted effort to keep certain clubs on top. Money already does that. That is the defining aspect. I don't think it is anything else. Look at City---suddenly they are getting the rub of the green when the money rolled in. But that rub of the green was from having better players that the money bought. It's not like United and Chelsea suddenly invited them in to their secret society. The cynic in me thinks there will be a bit of Stockley Park intervention tomorrow. Hope I’m wrong though
Captain?Did Wolves get all the questionable decisions in their favour in the 1950’s or Huddersfield in the 1930’s?
Anyone there at the time?
Aren you admitting there is a bias there though mate? I do t think there is a concerted conspiracy, but there is definitely (for me) places they don’t like giving decision, and clubs they will leave alone if they can as you know the media storm is gonna be different.I just don't buy into the conspiracy stuff. I am because studies have indicated in ALL sports that home teams and "big" teams tend to get favourable decisions. The secret is to become a a "big" club. Also remember clubs near the top of any league tend to get fouled etc more often because they are better. But any bias is, more or less, a natural occurence of these types of environments.Aren you admitting there is a bias there though mate?
