Bernado Silva not seeing a second yellow vs Newcastle when it clearly should have been.
Spurs goal ruled out vs Arsenal because Spurs player pushed Gabriel, about as soft as it gets.
Newcastle goal ruled out because Burn offside after being pushed with two hands by Man City player.
Gabriel not sent off for Arsenal last man, not looking at ball.
Ekitike miles offside deemed not interfering with play.

All within 24 hours of each other.

All decisions going to cartel clubs.

Put it this way,

Does anyone think for one second that had it been Milenkovic nod down for Gibbs White to score with Jesus stood ahead of the 'offside' line that they wouldn't have even bothered to get as far as determining Milenkovic offside because they would have called Jesus first?

Has anybody seen the offside from the Clough stand angle? Normally we get to see these incidents from all angles. But all I've seen are the pictures from the Taylor side which are inconclusive. Seems odd that the side where you'd be able to see Aina's foot position hasn't been seen.

Personally I thought Ekitike was in a position where he must be interfering with play but was also confident that would not be called. He affects the whole defensive line because he's attacking the area the ball is crossed to.

Why can the refereeing authorities see what is as plain as the nose on your face?

Something troubled me going back to when we played Liverpool on the FA Cup and went out to the Jota goal.

The VAR animation was strange. In real time it looked offside but in the VAR lines it looked onside.

It's because your eyes are correct. It's tighter than it looks, but it's still offside by a good few cm's.

I know people don't want to believe the PGMOL are corrupt, but the motive is obvious and the weight of evidence accrued over multiple seasons is damning.

I saw it with my eyes as I was sitting right in line in T block. I didn't think Van Dijk was offside. Ekitike might as well have been in another postcode, but Van Dijk looked on when staring at Aina's back. I was shocked when someone not at the game texted me and said Van Dijk might be offisde and I said he must mean Ekitike, but probably will be deemed not interfering under the current laws. Make of that what you will, I don't have a video, but my eyes told me VVD was onside. I won't go off again about how daft the rules are regarding Ekitike, but them's the rules.

Not doubting you Andy, just felt odd at the time when Sky didn't show the reverse angle.

No mention of last nights ref in this thread is quite surprising - Italian bloke i think ?

Seemed to be giving / falling for all the Fenerbahce theatrics and dives but at one point ain came out of defence ( think it was him) and the Turk player just raked down back of his leg - ref ignored it

Seemed very one sides at times where as overall the refs in Europe have been a breath of fresh air

Madley useless again. Looking at the match whenever there was a 50/50 tackle you knew Brighton were going to get it. Then you had Glen Murray who was so biased he should have had a blue and white shirt. Give me Oliver or Kavanagh every time.

Again nothing major but didn’t get on top of the gamesmanship - Wiefer took an age throw ins and all of them on corners.

Gomez got away with a clear yellow for shirt tug, ref played on but then should have booked. Gomez also appeared to block MGW - not clear cut but a possible second yellow and as a minimum he would have avoided the challenge on a yellow.

My favourite decision today was the offside against Jesus in the first half which was taken 10 yards into our half. Made no difference to the game or the result but was as basic incompetence as you'll see. I was by the halfway line and am not necessarily arguing Jesus was onside but he can't have been offside if the ref thinks the offence is in our half 🤦‍♂️
Didn't see this particular incident but you can be offside inside your own half. If you were offside in the opposition half when the ball was played but touch the pass inside your own half then that is where the free kick is given and taken from.

I’m not basing this statement on today’s match but also on others matches which don’t even involve our club.

The overall standard of refereeing in is really affecting my appreciation and love of the game in general.

Yes I get annoyed with players’ antics at times but they behave certain ways because of the referees allowing them to.

Time wasted by over-officiating at set pieces, var etc is crazy - sometimes we are awaiting a corner or free kick and it seems like the players are looking at the ref thinking why can’t we just take it?

Then we had the ludicrous nature in the Spurs/Arsenal match last week of the ref stopping the match for 8 minutes whilst the Lino had his battery pack changed. Even Gary Neville on sky was going “he’s got a flag, just wave it if he needs to”.

It just removes enjoyment.

In that case I give up.

Although Jesus touched the ball in the Brighton half anyway, not our half.

Didn't change the game anyway.

Pascal Gross knocking Sangre over in the air, even the commentator assumed he had been booked... nope.

Incredibly dangerous.

All I heard all game was Murray spunking over Gross. Not a word when he did that.

Then Murillo having his shirt yanked off by Veltman, who then dived over the first chance he got... "excellent defending".

This happens every time when we play them. They are media darlings, big 6 feeder club. Nobody ever calls out van Hecke's play acting and Dunk's diving either.

Saw a video of Harry Maguire claiming he was kicked in the face when Strand Larssen's foot was nowhere near.

Does anybody actually want to watch these giant lumps play acting? Yet the refs pander to them constantly. It's utterly bizarre. Best league in the world though!

And the biggest game of the weekend was decided by corners. Set pieces are the be all and end all for Arsenal. Yawn.
