Looks like perch is our RB

Not necessarily.

Must be confident McKenna will sign now, moving Garner to 14 to free up the 16 shirt

It does seem ominous though, giving him the no.2 synonymous with the RB role, unless he specifically requested it.

The squad numbers are of secondary importance to the Rice numbers anyway...

I think the most interesting one there is Camp being given the 1. ahead of Smith. I'd think that Smith would have kept it, as the incumbant, unless Billy is confident that Camp will be starting ahead of Smith...

Good point. I wouldn't be too annoyed to see Perch there though, but would prefer for us to get Gunter in at least, and either Fox or Lynch for LB

I agree. It looks like Camp will start as prefered choice.

The other suprise is Tyson not having the No 9 shirt for next season and being allocated No 11. Is this an indication of our new left winger?

No doubt the squad will be padded out by giving numbers to some of the young kids, but it does look sparse.

The space at 3 is ominous considering Coventry have dismissed our bid for Fox as derisory and Gunter is repuredly on his way to the Blunts.

This Gunter to the Blunts business is merely a very dodgy rumour isn't it? It hasn't been said anywhere except their bloody shef utd mad site or something, and that was written more out of hope than anything.

The no 13 shirt is normally for the reserve goalie and with smith 21 does this mean we may get another keeper? Also no 3 left empty for someone hopefully Gunter?

My ideal scenario in time for the first game of the season:

3. Danny Fox
16. Paul McKenna
18. Chris Gunter
22. Matt Mills
23. Dexter Blackstock

More and more goalkeepers are choosing 21 as in 2nd number 1.

Geoff Thomas
Now expect the new away shirt to be announced so people can start to lineup which player they want on their backs.

I can't rember anyone being given number 13 at Forest since squad numbers began. Is Terry the Kitman superstitious?

I reckon the only reason they've announced any squad numbers is the impending release of the new kits (new away kit tomorrow, maybe ?)

You could be right - the Club Shop re-opens tomorrow after its refit, what's the betting the new "Away" shirt is released also - hence the announcement of the squad numbers as they are now?

I'm not sure of any other team who has announced squad numbers yet (I've no really looked that hard though) so this might be a bit of a nudge with regards to the new away shirt (and of course the home one, but that apparently won't be with us until August?)

I cant ever remember Forest having a number 13 shirt, so no doubt we getting a new keeper
