Speculating: Wheels in motion

Just thinking, Newcastle and West Brom are up, they can start planning and targeting players for the summer. So can everyone below Blackpool.

Us on the other hand, we've got a month to wait before we know our fate. Do you think the panel are working on who to bring in in both cases? Might we have some targets that we'll sign in either case?

Just wondering if people think there's anything we can do to get around the fact that we're a month behind other clubs in ending our season and getting on to signing players.

Our transfer window should be extended by a month then in my opinion. Let everyone be open to sell, but not buy and then that puts everyone on even ground. I'm suggesting this for everyone in the playoffs by the way, not just us.

Doesn't matter , our shitty AP will take forever to conclude anything. They had months to prepare for january with Billy harping on about the need to strengthen , what did they do ? Get nobody and lose Shorey in the process.

You got the Cohen illness rite but Shorey is a huge thing to claim, how sure are you? you obv do know someone at the club but this is huge if it happens.

100% if we go up

85% if we don't

(he is back on the radar for sure)

I imagine that Billy came up with a series of targets several months ago. Some may be the same players we pursued in January. After all, the plan then was to strengthen with the intention of going for automatic promotion, so he'd be targetting players who were willing to play in the Championship, but good enough for the Premiership should we go up. Things haven't really changed in that respect.

Shorey did say he was all set and looking forward to coming back to Forest when Fulham came in, premier league football and a chance of making the England squad was too good to miss. Fulham don't look like they want to play him so why not?

He is right at top of billys wish list

Not first choice at Fulham and good experience with us should help us negotiate a workable deal even if we are in championship

All Shorey said was that he would be happy to come back to forest , not that he would have because Forest simply wasn't willing to pay up hence why MON recalled him after the reading match and then 1-2 weeks later , he was on his way to Fulham on deadline day. Forest had 2 months to sort out his transfer permanently but they weren't willing to pay up.

They started planning at the start of the year so we should be ok.
Planning for what? Championship players or Premiership players.

We don't want Championship players if we go up and which Premiership quality players will come if we stay in the Championship?

So please explain how we will be O.K.

If Fulham don't want to play him - please explain why he has played in all of their 10 league matches up until yesterday against WHU.

The only reason he was on the bench for the first time yesterday was because of a knock that he took in the previous league game at Everton.

They have played him but don't want to sign him permanent

Konchesky is their first choice left back - Shorey was brought in to cover him when Konchesky was injured - he had a knee operation

Konchesky back 100% now

Shorey too expensive simply as cover

He has done the job they took him on loan for and Konchesky's recovery has been better than they could have hoped for

Forest have had the message that a deal can be done

I'd just like to stake my claim for a place as the new Capello with the news that we will sign England captain Bobby Moore from West Ham, even if we are relegated to Division 4.

A question for you...I've heard from somewhere/somebody (not protecting here I just can't remember where!) that Billy is interested in bringing back Jermaine Jenas. It may have been somewhere on here but I'm now not finding anything or being exceptionally blind. Anybody know anything?

EDIT - Sorry, found it. It WAS me being blind. BBut still, anything?

He didn't play against West Ham, Liverpool, Wolves, Wigan, Man City. In fact he's barely played since Konchesky got fit.
