"HOWEVER, due to the late arrival of the tickets, and the fact that we MUST sell these tickets quickly in order to secure the second allocation, this cannot be done"

indicates they'll get more.

Alright Forest fans,

Saints fan here, don't worry I come in piece.

We have managed to sale 1k of our allocation already and Southampton Football Club have requested the 2nd allocation.

I think the min you're allowed to give us without our club accepting to it is 3k.

I already have my ticket, I can't say I am confident but if it is one of them games where we both have to win to be in this League next season than may the best team win.

This will be my first ever visit to the City ground and I have to say I'm looking forward to it. What is the City Ground like for an atmosphere in the home ends? Is there anywhere to eat by the ground?

Thanks.

Welcome :) I guess enjoyment of the trip has many factors to it, obviously emotions are likely to be running high for both sets of fans.

Our away end holds about 4.5k I think, knowing Forest they'll make all of those available if you're likely to sell them - if they're allowed to by the police they sometimes segregate a block for home fans should demand be high enough.

Would definitely say you should get 3k tickets though, roughly 10% of our capacity.

Atmosphere-wise, like most home grounds it can be limited - the principle fans you will notice will be above you, as well as the block nearest to you in the decrepid main stand who end up rather decimated by harsh stewarding. I'm assured the Trent End make a bit of noise too - but as they're at the opposite end of the pitch to you, you probably won't notice.

Good to eat - depends what you want, but almost certainly yes. There's a McDonalds close by (urgh!), plenty of burger vans etc around the ground, there's an excellent cob (or roll/bap in 'southern' speak lol ) shop on Pavilion Road, for earlier arriving fans you'll find a few pubs nearby - but with the early kick off your choices might be a bit limited on that front ???

Generally speaking you should find Forest fans to be mostly civilised good humoured folks, you have to be good humoured to support us - of course, depending on the various permutations you might find them in a less good mood than you might normally expect... or a better one, who knows?!

Hiya S4L.

The home atmosphere at City Ground can be better than a lot of other Championship grounds. The area to your left (A Block of the old Main Stand) is a loud area. And then above/to the right is Capital One Corner which is usually quite loud.
Then on occassions, the Trent End (opposite end of the pitch to you) will start singing and it seems pretty loud in there.

There are a fair few pubs round the City Ground that do food, but most of them are home fans only.
There is a McDonald's though, and a few chippies / cob shop. (cue: "what's a cob?").

Welcome to LTLF. ;D

It's going to go to the wire and our result may well have an important bearing on the final positions in the League. I'm confident that we can do what we need to do to secure our place in the Championship next season yet we all know how unpredictable it can be and relying upon other results to go our way does make for a squeaky bottom.

I'm unsure what the usual away allocation is for League games only I'm sure if you sell out then you'll be offered more. I think we've had over 4000 visiting away supporters at times this season.

Away fans are usually located in the Lower Bridgford goal end where the sound dynamics are the best and situated between the noisiest parts of the home supporters you can guarantee plenty banter. I've heard a rumour that, for this game, seats may well be allocated elsewhere in the stadium but I think this is unlikely.

There are plenty places to eat around the ground only you will struggle to dine in many of the local bars who only allow home supporters for obvious reasons. You can buy what is commonly known as 'grub' inside the ground only be it at your own risk.

Anyhow, enjoy the game and don't take it personally when we whip your arses. ;D

The atmosphere at the CG is great if Forest are winning. If losing, it can be bloody awful.

Thank you for the reply.

I fully expect to arrive in Nottingham a little early for the match. I leave Southampton at 7:30.

I just hope to god that it isn't anything like the game between us earlier in the season. :)

I hope for a decent atmosphere, which I believe it will be as us Saints fans will be making a day of it even if we go down and we can have a nosey away following at times.

Hows Dexter Blackstock done so far for you lot? I was devastated when he left us. :(

And yes what is a cob? :D

My post described a cob :p It's the correct way of referring to what you would call a 'bap' or a 'roll' :p

I was impressed by the Saints fans at St Mary's, made some noise before the game turned definitively in our favour.

Understandable to be disgruntled, things weren't going well on the pitch, our fans are terribly fickle at home.

I remember us having the better of the game until you scored your first.

Funny thing was, I could see it coming straight after we had hit the post! :D

I quite like Southampton fans because of that day. Remember beforehand when we spoke to a couple of locals they were just expecting the worse and reminded me of what it's like for us sometimes...or most of the time.

If Southampton's survival wasn't likely to send us down I would like them to stay up ahead of those other teams around us.
