You're clearly not that sorry to say it, midduck! :D

Looking forward to seeing the Newcastle fans and how they perform given the hype, I'm sat right above you - first time we've played the Geordies since I've sat there.

I fear your prediction might be right, we've had a good run of wins, you're short of one for a while, former-Forest striker in the ranks... but football's anything but predictable.

Game on!

Bah, those fans aren't as scary as our lot ...

It's definetly going to be a big test of our credentials and will probably be the best pointer to date as to where we'll end up come the end of the season. We've proven we can beat the also rans, but are yet to play the 'top' sides...

They are forgetting we have an inside man. Agent Calderwood will be supplying the Newcastle tactics. Expect your defenders to play up front, and your formation to be a shambles.

think we are going to tank you lot the morra !! our away form is really good and if we can play like ipswich the other week there will be a few goals going in !! and our away support is second to none, so the noise levels will be through the roof for sky telly,
hope its a good game and let the best team win (as long as its NEWCASTLE ) see ya sat !!!!!

How could we not be in fear of a team that won the First Division as recently as 1927 and last won a piece of silverware as recently as 1973 (in the form of the much coverted Anglo-Italain Cup). Real Madrid - eat your heart out.

...and what a wonderfully well supported club you've always had. Who can forget the amazing 16000 average attendances when you were in the old 2nd Division in 1991? Loyal support indeed, the best in the land.

We are indeed not worthy to be sharing the same pitch as you, so thank you for agreeing to visit our little club.

I watched Newcastle vs Sunderland in Shearers bar last season. They have 2 or 3 songs and the women are louder than the men.

I thought they only had one song, and it goes along the lines of 'get out of our club, you fat cockney w**ker'.

How could you tell they were women? Were their tash's less prominent and their mullets permed?

I'd like to make a request in advance if I may. Please tell your fellow fans not to remove any shirts or shoes for the duration of the game. Your fans have got some of the most offensive physiques known to mankind.

I think you've got your facts wrong there I'm afraid. Newcastle's attendances were clearly higher, the 16,000 applies only to the fans in their seats. There are at least another 2,000 unaccounted for, running on the pitch and beating up opposing players

But in all seriousness, for a one club city, with only one or two other clubs within 100 miles to compete with that is seriously woeful. We've got 3 professional clubs in our little county alone and as far as I know our attendances have never plummeted to those depths.

But anyway, like it's been mentioned in the Froch/Direll thread, I really hope all banter is kept purely in good jest. Several Newcastle fans are said to be taking in the fight after the game and what a dreadful advert it would be for our city (and theirs) if anything did get out of hand. We are also a club who takes huge pride in our away following and despite the fact I might be flicking the odd bird in the direction of the Bridgford lower, I have actually got a lot of respect for the clubs who can pack out that end. It really does sort the big clubs from the small.

So good luck everyone, here's hoping for a resounding win from the redd'uns, but there's no silly scenes like Bristol a few years back on what is a huge day for everyone concerned!

:)

The use of 'remove' implies that they had a shirt on in the first place. My experience of this particular brand of Geordie is that they've never worn a shirt in their entire life. They wander around topless all year round, even in the middle of a freezing northern winter.
