It seems a bit unfair on you. I took advantage of your offer earlier in the year - i think we should at least do you £10 a ticket in return.

Cant you send them an email saying even though im a barnsley fan it could be more safety cautious if they were charged the same.

Cheers lads - will you still love me if we stuff you 3-0 at Oakwell? lol :nowink:

Only kidding - I'll come on here and take the banter if we lose.

Stick around - win lose or draw. Relegated or not.

We have some good members from other clubs - Gem, Jurssey, NorthernMonkey to name but three. You sound ok. Feel welcome.

Forest say that:-

They are going to take this point in to consideration for the future after the football league say that the club can charge who and where it wants!

What are you suggesting? That the Forest fans will revolt if the ticket prices aren't brought down :D

I thought there was a ruling on ticket promotions and matching it for away fans, particularly if it's available for all areas of the ground.

Evidently not.

It's rather shameful conduct though, particularly considering that Forest discounted the City Ground match with Barnsley for home and away fans alike. I bet Forest are kicking emselves, the half price ticket offer nearly became just a £2.50 discount instead of nearly four times that lol

Marthur has said he'll learn from it, so for our home game with Coventry the away fans will be charged £5 and given the entire Bridgford End and Brian Clough stand, whilst the home fans will be charged double.

No wonder my post count..

Football Leagues Response

Thank you for your email.

This is covered by Regulation 31.2.11 which states “Discounts or special promotions (in each case for one match only) made available to supporters of the Home Club must also be made available on a similar basis to visiting supporters provided always that each Club shall be permitted to designate four (4) Matches per Season as ‘local promotion’ where this Regulation shall be deemed not to apply.”

Barnsley have designated their match versus Nottingham Forest a ‘local promotion’ in accordance with League Regulations. It is the Clubs themselves who determine the Regulations and the League who administers them.

We hope this clarification is helpful.

So basically its up to the club to decide whether they charge away fans the same when doing these promotions, Forest did and Barnsley haven't

Karma. We'll get the three points now that they're prepared not to return the ticket prices favour. :)
