Yes, we're on a good run. Yes, were 2pts off top.

But Watford, in 12th, are 6pts of top.

Had we only drawn, or even lost, tonight we'd be in 10th.

So its easy for shit to change.

I'm off for a Billy w**k.

Fair enough but only lost 1 in 10, starting to play some attractive pressing football, look cohesive as a unit could be top if not for the results v wba and blackpool. All of this and I would say that someone is still due a proper tonking you can't blame people for starting to show a bit of belief and ambition isn't this what football is all about????

come on relax and enjoy the ride, one thing it aint gonna be a season of struggle is it!?!

Yep a look at the table after tonights games shows one thing, how stupidly insanely close this league is! :D

Thing is, Everyone knows we can play the ball well.
So more and more teams are now regularly lining up against us in that very defensive mannar, Especially in our Home games.
We are unbeaten away, and for good reason I think.. The opposition try to play the ball well to, and fail.

If we pick up points in these two away fixtures, I will definatly be swayed more to the 'Promotion Push' side of 'Consolidation'.

Enjoy it while we can , we are not going to continue winning every game but damn , does it feel good after last season.

I really couldn't care less. The fact is most of these teams have done ok from the start of the season. We have worked our way up after waiting ages for a win ! Hope that puts it into perspective !

Being a Forest fan is a rollercoaster ride, enjoy the highs before the lows destroy your spirit !

The feeling of winning 5 on the bounce is great and i can see 6 on Saturday but not a 7th against Cardiff. Either way happy we are playing well and at last winning. U Reds.

I like to look at it as every point gained is not a step towards the play offs or promotion,,but a step away from the relegation mess we got ourselves involved with last season.

I can see a win on saturday and then a draw against cardiff, but I honestly cant see a run of bad results the odd loss maybe but theres no reason why we cant stay unbeaten for sometime yet.

I did say in a previous thread that I don't look at league tables until after Christmas only, not even I, can resist having just a little peek. ::)

It's looking extremely positive and no one can take that away from us. Optimism is flooding the boards and our boots yet maybe it's time for an element of realism at the same time.

We're playing extremely well, in parts, and we're winning. However, a couple of bad reffing decisions could easily change our predicament. We're winning and we're controlling games, in parts, but we're not walking it. We still have some hard games ahead and there is no place for complacency. It's important that we realise how quickly things can change and continue to put our hearts into every kick of the ball. Greater consistancy, more clinicism in front of goal and more control over the full 90 minutes. I'm sure Billy will be illustrating our areas for improvment.

I'm confident that this will continue to be a great season for us and we will finish in a strong competitive position. I'm not ruling out the playoffs or even a top two finish yet I'm still of the belief that we have a lot of work to do before we're ready to compete in the Premiership.

I'm enjoying our current form like everyone only we will wobble at some point.

My perspective is that this is such a better start than to last season. It's about time we had a season where we weren't going into the last few games with the possibility of starting the following season in the 3rd division. When did that last happen? 2002-03 I make it.

Enjoy it now and remember to get behind the team when we come up against a sticky spell.

As Dan says,

its more noticable to this year that when its maybe nil -nil and the gameseems to be fizzling out the fans get behind the team and i think this has a positive effect on the team too, one or two misplaced pass's under Calderwood etc would have mean met by boo's and growns but i think the teams performances and a certain Billy Davies has asked us to show the team support when its tight and they need us behind em and it work.

To put it in to perspective Liverpool what do Liverpool achieve without Torres and Gerrard .........stuff all ...this squad has strength in depth and in a long season with one or two defensive signing we could be there or there abouts........

March? Pessimistic bastard.

In all seriousness, whilst the point is valid that things can change quickly, should we have found ourselves two points from bottom of the league, I would imagine there would be a lot of negativity on the boards.

A vast improvement in midfield and real attacking talent. However, apart from Mckenna this is a young, albeit maturing side. Most of the second half illustrated this fact. I felt we lacked composure and nearly failed to finish off Barnsley. I know we won so some of you will think this is irrelevant but I think sides like Wolves or Brum last season would have won last night at a canter. We are good but not good enough for a top 3 finish. I fancy us to finish between 9th and 6th. The main thing is we are moving in the right direction. Happy days.
