Sorry if this has been posted elsewhere. Quote from Chris Coleman on the BBC website.

Coventry manager Chris Coleman:
"We have played one of the best and strongest teams in the Championship today and we have made them work very hard for their victory.

"When you have two games in quick succession and the second is away to Forest, it doesn't come much harder.

"We have given a good account of ourselves and I am more than happy."

Its been a very long time since I've heard someone praise us like that when they didn't really need to. Also, teams in the lower half of the league coming away from Forest with a loss but having 'tried hard' and being pleased with it is nice to hear. Lets hope 2010 starts the same way 2009 ended.

Think Coventry were excellent today and really gave us a run for our money, toughest game at home I think so far, but in the end, our strikers quality shone through, and you're not gonna argue with blackstocks screamer are you?

Well weve now played every team in the league.

Only Watford, Blackpool and WBA have beaten us. Only Watford deserved the 3 points, and all 3 defeats came in a really dodgy spell. Okay sod it, im going to say it... is there really any reason to believe we haven't got a very real chance of going up this season? Were well and truely capable of catching WBA and whilst Newcastle could run away with it, were only actually 8 points off them. It only needs them to have a couple of dodgy games and were right behind them. League champions? Id it THAT ridiculous?

And even if we end up in the Playoffs, why on earth would we fear them now? Id be confident of a win and a draw in 2 games against any side in the division right now.

It spoke volumes for me when I had a nosey at a WBA forum after we beat Preston on Sky to see what they were saying about us. A fair few of them were conceeding automatic promotion to us, despite us being behind them! I know football fans can be very fickle and very pessimistic but christ, that takes the biscuit!

Billy's taking us up and we should no longer be nervous of playing anyone :)

Our game with the Baggies is now a must win for them uf they want to hold on to that second place. They had a bit of a gap a few weeks ago but slowly but surely we are edging ever closer. It looks like sooner or later we will overhaul them.

Having watched Newcastle in two TV games in the last couple of weeks, they don't look anything special and definitely aren't out of our reach yet. Especially as now Marlon has returned to Villa. They looked toothless up front and little better than Direby as a whole.

We probably are due a bit of a hiccup but I now can't see us finishing anything else than play-offs at worst.

I saw this myself and thought what a pleasant change it was., there are too many managers nowadays who refuse to give opposing teams any credit whatsoever.

After Pearson's comments when we demolished the bin raiders a few weeks ago I was even moved to write on The Leicester Mercury website and point out that they had been beaten by a better team and, despite Pearson saying that they hadn't played, didin't turn up etc they were actuaslly beaten by a better team.

It is never easy to lose but losing graciously is an characteristic becoming increasing rare in modern managers.

Last time I heard decent praise like that was under Hart, when he was credited for the football he had the team playing.

Still good to hear and another confidence boost for the team to hear

I thought Coventry played the best football anyone has played against us at the City Ground this season. Part of this was our strangely poor form. The midfield just didn't get going - McKenna had a stinker (even though I would NEVER sub him, unless he is injured - he's too important when he's directing the others). I think we've had our 'blip'. Watford away and now Cov. Can't wait to see us batter Brum and WBA in the next two games. Coleman has always struck me as a good pro - I never disliked him prior to his time at Cov. His comments don't surprise me.
