Sky live games

forest forever

First Team Squad
Just been checking out sky sports & for the opening weekend they have two live championship games planned. On sat 8 kick off 1pm & sun 9 kick 1.30 off, lets hope we don't get either newcastle of middlesbrough because thats when we will end up playing

i'd rather have newcastle or boro than leicester or posh

But its inevitable.

EVERY team is on tele a few times a season, so if it's a pain in the arse why not get it out of the way?

Last season we were on a few times early on (including first day) but then at the end of the season we wern't on at all.

I don't really see the problem (not to mention the financial incentive for the club)

That said il be quite pleased if we get a fairly "boring" fixture first up, something to settle into where we can pick up 3 points. QPR, Coventry, Blackpool... someone like that.

I wouldn't mind it being on sky. The curse seems to loom a bit still but I would love to be the first side to play Newcastle!!

Man Utd V Arsenal is on the same day :(

you reckon we could be on at different times with us & the sheep first and those two on later?

If I was a betting man id say we kick off at 1pm on sunday 30th, Manure kick off same say at 4pm.

All depends on how many live premiership games they have on that weekend.

Not a certainty it will be on, as police wont allow a 5.20 kick off thats for sure.

What time will the 10 BBC games be? Will they just pick up the saturday evening slot and sky wont have a game when BBC do?

BBC will probably have the saturday night games. Could we be on first weekend again, reading away, or West brom next week, hard games to start with :(:(

Sky havent got a premiership game on Sun 30th at lunchtime. Think we will see Forest - Derby fill that slot.

Also, all Saturday night games are now 5.30, instead of 5.20

hope it is moved to sunday... i'm playing in a match that saturday. not sure if i can focus on my play while asking the crowd how many have derby let in :D

Stand by for plenty of being messed around this season

Games v....... Derby, Leicester, Newcastle,Boro,West Brom,Blackpool(a),cupgames (if we get a big home draw) etc etc.....all ripe for a big say from Sky,BBC,local gendarmes, as to what day and what time kick off will be!!!!!.....not so long ago Barca kicked off at 12 midnight to satisfy Spanish TV...imagine us playing Derby at that time!!!!!!!!. :ubique: :ubique: :ubique: :ubique:

Re: Stand by for plenty of being messed around this season

D*rby I can understand... Leicester to a lesser extent, but whats so special about Boro, Newcastle or Blackpool.

Boro and Newcastle are big games to US, not TV companies. Every single team in the division checked to see when they were playing Newcastle right after there local rivals.

Sheff U v Newcastle, Reading v Boro both more attractive than us playing them. Or even Newcastle v Peterborough or Scunthorpe and the possibility of a minor upset.

As for Blackpool vs Forest, why would the TV companies give a toss about that fixture? WBA v Middlesbrough and the Sheffield derby would take priority and well as probably another half a dozen games

Sorry to shit on your point and all, but I don't get it

Re: Stand by for plenty of being messed around this season

Just feel that these games are the sort the TV companies will look at from an "attractive fixture" aspect, likewise the police(as in Blackpool away last season) will no doubt want a say...apologies for implying that Blackpool away is an attractive fixture for TV by the way!!!!!!

Re: Stand by for plenty of being messed around this season

We are a team the only managed to stay in the division with one game remaining last season. Cant really see what you are on about?

Not the case at all, I'm afraid.

How would it suit any Spanish TV audience to have a match kick off after midnight? You want the game played when everyone's awake. The game was played at that time so Barcelona could have access to their international players, following Sevilla's refusal to bring the game forward 24 hours.
