Billy Davies says there are non, so f*** off Megson :)

Interesting read ... and fills the news gap while we salivate over potential new signings. He says there's nothing really wrong, just some things want changing so they work the Billy Davies way. He refers to himself in the 3rd person again in it, which is quality. Go BD.

I love the way he chucks in a bit of 'Third Person' in the last paragraph!

Wotton Henry Wotton would rather see signings than talk of third person speak

Lord Henry Wotton is a man possessed of “wrong, fascinating, poisonous, delightful theories.” He is a charming talker, a famous wit, and a brilliant intellect.

A little sincerity is a dangerous thing, and a great deal of it is absolutely fatal.

In fairness to Megson, given the number of tossers he inherited and the obvious lack of fitness/effort that rolled over from the Joe Kinnear regimé, the club is very different now.

All true. Am I allowed to hate him and enjoy telling him to f*** off anyway?

The most important thing in business is sincerity.

If you can fake that, you've got it made. :)

I think Megson had a lot to do but had plenty of time to do it. He went about it the wrong way and brought in 12 players (in that region) not too many of them were success stories and by the sounds of it most of the upset during that time he caused.

Whether Kinnear was an effecting factor in that or not doesn't matter. BD has come in and tried to keep things consistent whilst trying to keep us up and not cause too much disruption unless necessary. He has left it till the summer to change things where he has the oppurtunity to implement things without having to prepare players for a game at the same time. Megson came in and just changed everything straight away we went down and because of the upset he caused and fall outs with players we ran out of drive and passion from certain players and we ended up doing dreadfully the following season. To blame Kinnear would be wrong because how did Barlow and McParland perform such a turn around after his departure?

Megson constituted a bit of a clean slate in the reckoning, which is his own estimation of his tenure. CC could not have hoped to succeed, inheriting a Kinnear team.

Not really. Bennett and Clingan were the only Megson signings that were regulars that year.

Megson undoubtedly inherited a club that was in a state and whilst he did bring in some decent players, he brought in some absolute rubbish as well that cost the club a bundle, especially as quite a few were paid up early.

??? Not being picky, but I cannot recall any major catastrophes regarding Megsons signings ?

I'm sure he bought Dadi.

And kept Johnson.

And signed Eaden.

Granted, I can offer no argument in the favour of these fools ever donning a Forest shirt, but I was thinking in terms of poor performances related to cost's. Dadi, Eaden and Friio were freebies, Padula I am not certain if a small fee was involved and was'nt Powell a loan ?

Eaden, Padula, Friio, Dobie, Powell, Melville, Gary Holt, Pederson they were hardly successful signings.

I mean he did bring in Brecks and Southall who were great servants to the club but the vast majority of his signings as the list shows were woeful.

They might not have cost a lot in transfer fee's but quite a few of them were paid up well before their contracts expired.

Then there's Dobie who cost £600k.

Can't help thinking that under CC Forest turned into a 'friends' regime. Whereas under BD we will change into a well organised football club, with a structure as it should. Any proposed changes for the better would be most welcomed. I think we all saw how fitness lacked early on !

I would think one of the suggestions would be to get rid of the transfer committee, which I wont be to displeased about.
I wonder if he has the chief exec in his sights?
