I fear too much is being read into the Shorey is a red comment. It felt a little like he was just 'singing along', sort of thing. A bit like if he'd said 'is a red' after Earnshaw was mentioned.
It was an odd comment, and I drastically hope Shorey comes.
Shorey is an Arsenal fan, so perhaps he was alluding to that!

Billy D has been quoted in the sun today saying "If Nicky Shorey does not get a premier league club and there is a possibility we can do something then, until that door closes on us, he remains and option"
Which basically says to me, Shorey has pretty much agreed to join subject to not being offered a deal in the Premiership. Not such a done deal afterall.

I just wish we could move on from Shorey, if he doesn't want to play for us now and wait for a premier side then fook him, his heart won;t be in it, and didn't Davies say he only wants players that want to play for the club?

I think it's only fair Shorey aims for a premiership club as he has spent most of his career there and has the ability to perform in that league. Naturally he will have to take a reduction on his wages and probably see's this as his last contract.
That said, if we are the back up option, I have no doubt he will put his heart and soul into this club and would be a valuable addition... Also with the lack of left backs in the market, we don't really have a better option do we?

I have a feeling that what will happen is that if he hasnt got a move, by the closing of the window, forest will go back in when the loan window reopens and get him back.
I dont think they'll have too much problem, as his wages wont drop and he'll not be tied to forest- meaning he can put himself in the shop window by playing well and reguarly. If we do get promoted, then he could even join on a permenant and fullwill his wish of wanting to stay in the premier league.

Everyone's a wages player in this life. He's got a family to think about and he doesn't even have to move house if he's going to West Brom.
Cut the guy a little slack, it's his choice and frankly everyone is being really arrogant about him not coming to forest.

Why would we want him, forest was clearly is last choice... if all else fails, not like I can blame hime if a better offer is on the table, we would all take it. Personally i think in Ryan Bertrand we have a much better player and will give us what Gunter did last season but down the left which hopefully means we wont be so one dimensional.

I think he has taken a gamble going to west Brom but like tomharding says he doesn't have to move/commute or upset the family by moving down the road to west Brom. Personally I think they will come straight back down, lets see if Di Mateo makes it to Christmas before being sacked.

Why? Of course he'd choose WBA over Forest. We wouldn't as we're Forest fans, but to 99% of footballers, Premiership football + wages is greater than Championship football and wages.
He was worth a shot, but ultimately, he's a premiership player. Had we gone up, I'm certain he would have come to us.
