Im a Wednesday Fan and was going to catch the train up to Nottingham for the match. I was told to avoid catching the train because alot of your fans wait for our fans. Is it really this bad? if so how early do you recomend getting to Nottingham to avoid the trouble?

Good Luck at QPR and Derby.

You'll be fine on the train, matey - there won't be any trouble at the station, it's usually well populated by police and has ample CCTV.

You should be fine a couple of hours before kick off - or earlier.

If you come out the front of the station, go left and left again - you'll walk down a long straight road with a large carpark to the left. At the end of this road on the right you'll find 'Hooters' - which is away fan friendly. If you resist the Boobs, turn right down London Road. Before you get to Trent Bridge you'll reach Meadow Lane, a left turn here will take you to Notts County's ground, in which is a fairly basic place called 'Wheelers Bar' which is away fans only.

If you come out of the side entrance to the station (leading straight into the large carpark) cross the carpark to the road and turn left and then you're on the long straight road mentioned above.

Gave these same directions to a Leicester fan mate on facebook for that match.

Would hate it if people had that impression of Nottingham to be honest, it's really not likely that you'll see much trouble at all.

The only risk in coming by train is accidentally ending up in the Meadows (right next to the station).. but if you stick to the plan above, you'll be fine :)

There's a few pubs around the ground that will be fine with sensible groups of away fans - and a wander around the ground should be absolutely fine too.

Just to level things up a bit, i've been to Forest loads, by a variety of methods, have happily drunk in the pubs, have never seen any serious bother and would count it as one of my favourite away days.

There was a bit of scuffle in Hooters last season, where some of your meatheads clashed with ours so Notts Police may escort those coming by Train straight to the designated aways fans pub which is Wheelers on Meadow Lane. Hopefully im wrong but when their have been problems at a previous fixture Notts Police are notorious for going OTT the next time we play the offending team
