Thought you put your point across well - only of course, to be hit by the usual glut of idiots!

Leave it there, then return midway through the season to the same thread.

I wouldn't say they were a selling club, nobody in this division could really turn down the money they look like taking from Spurs for the two Kyles.

I think a bigger concern for them is that their parachute payments have dried up now so the budgeting would have been a bit tighter were it not for the already mentioned sales. Because of that and the fact they're taking walker back on loan I imagine this years plan for them will be the same as last.

I think automatic may be one step beyond them unless their transfer dealings are amazing but I'd expect to see them in the play-offs.

I have spent ten minutes avoiding posting: 'Hello, Forest fan here. You are all ****wits. Do you have Sven Gormless Eriksons as your nearest general Manager, other than the bloke that manages the restaurant on Trent Bridge?'
I mean the Italian restaurant. The breadsticks are good and the pizza is excellent, but I am unconvinced that the pasta is homemade. If we are talking about the Blades, we need Jem. She's self-confessed ugly but Forest through and through.

They will usually always be a team challenging in the right half of the table as long as their in this division.Kevin Blackwell has to be one of my most hated managers so natrually I hope the fail horribly again this season.

No, seriously, I tried to get into her knickers and eventually she confessed to being a minger.
She has the most posts on here of anyone. Her muff is unusually hairy and she is heavily pregnant.

God, I'd make a fortune with a video like that; especially in Turkey and Russia.

Sheff U are the type of bastards to do alright for themselves, purely out of spite. Any Blades reading can go ahead and take that as a compliment, probably. There might be something to be said for having a team roll over from one season to the next more or less unchanged at this level, if they weren't bad last season. Look at us - if we took the average Davies performance from the set of players (including loanees) from last year, we'd finish far more comfortably than we did last year, based on what we've seen Davies deliver so far - and with a continuing side on reasonable form that's not at all unlikely.

As it stands we've embellished that with Camp again, McGoldrick, Adebola, McKenna and the Polish fellow. We probably need another defender to make that a cracking summer all over and go on a charge from here. But Sheff U are or were a better team than us last year, and there's no reason the same set of players can't improve naturally as they stick together. One thing's for certain, our two-plus games against them next season will, gamesmanship permitting, be another two great fixtures. Leicester would do well to learn how to be a rival club from Utd, and I'm stopping now as that's two compliments in as many paragraphs.

I totally agree with you, Leicester try too hard to be a rival

But as for the "scabs" comments, get over it! It's so 1980's! And they acuse US of living in the past.....

Here's a Derby one, :D

It's quite funny that a few of them think we haven't improved because we've resigned loan players. Maybe they should check the last 8 results when those loan players were in place.

They also keep slating BD for spending our money. Don't they now we have an accusation panel signing our players? There's also a few mentions of journeymen on long contracts, in reality we only have 2 players over 30 so needed some experience.

The thing I find funniest of all is that they think they have such a talented squad. Commons is their best player. He was about 10th best for us in league one. They gloss over where they finished last year by blaming it on injuries. Every club has injuries.

They will finish lowest of the 3 east midlands clubs.

It's a footymad board.

With Sheffield United fans on it.

Did you really expect anything other than advanced retardation?

They're just a bunch of Yorkshire ******* and envy us for being the most transfer active team in the division when all they're doing is selling their players. All of them know we're pushing a serious promotion challenge and I think they're scared of our competition in the league next season.

Funny thing is if you asked them what a scab was 90% of them wouldn't know.
They don't understand the concept of working, so to the majority a scab would be a none starter.

I fear we are facing the same label as in league 1. Any club who is skint will cast their eyes in jealousy when others are picking up some real players. Any club in this league would pick up any of our signings if they had the money. Sheff Utd were allways a playoff side, however, it appears they are dropping and a lot vent this hatred towards other clubs in better positions. Thankfully those posts only cover a small amount. I know a fair few so I can't say they bother me. The fact is our signings are crap because theyre not theirs.

I havent seen any action of not from them. I do however feel that the tides are turning and Wednesday will return as the dominant Sheffield club !

The mad etc boards usually only convey the fans who couldnt be bothered to make the effort to find a community, just to piss people off from behind a keyboard. The sites I look at are those like this. Personal and welcoming like a community ! For example the main unnoficial Newcastle boards etc are usually very well balanced and welcoming bar the odd one or two !

What on earth would Sheffield United know about transfers and value for money?

This is a club that spent the best part of £5m on Billy Sharp and Darius Henderson.

To be fair there was a lot less "scabbiness" about the replies than I expected.

Anyway Sheffield was a steel town.

No wonder my post count..
The sheep shaggers seem to think we're going to get f**ked over by Billy. The same applies to the Preston fans also.

I think Billy's on his 3rd try now for success:

Preston - Took them to Championship Playoffs, lost out
Derby - Took them to Premiership, failed miserably
Forest - (Could be) Took them to Premiership, survived

3rd times a charm!

I also respect a rams post:

Everyone seems to be slagging Billy off for his buys this summer. Remember at this level he put together a side with Derby that achieved promotion at the first attempt and we came from nowhere after finishing in a similar position the season before to where Forest ended last season.

He may have been out of his depth in the prem ( and you could argue that he had no money to compete in the prem) but at this level he has done it all before. I am with many Derby fans in my dislike for him as a person but you have to respect what he has done with Derby and Preston and IMO Forest will finish higher than ourselves.

I am not comfortable with our transfer policy and not one of our purchases this summer gives me any optimism that we will finish any higher than lower mid table. The board to me are more interested in clearing the debt to make us a more saleable asset than where we end up in the league.
