Nigel Clough is planning an audacious raid on his old club Nottingham Forest for Nathan Tyson.

The Derby boss is weighing up a £400,000 offer for the striker as he seeks to turn his squad into one capable of challenging for promotion next season.

Clough sees Tyson, 27, as a player who can provide his front line with some much-needed pace.

Forest have offered Dele Adebola a two-year deal.

The 33-year-old striker is set to quit Bristol City on a free this summer after snubbing a new contract.

I have a feeling after the incident where Davies said half the squad would be leaving and were not good enough, that he got the positive reaction he was hoping for. Garner looked alot better over the last few games and everyone really knuckled down and got on with it. 400K is laughable and im pretty sure we wont see too many players leaving not unless we get a few players in first.

Blimey, that's a low price. Not that it will ever happen. Tys has seen what happened to Commons and I don't think he would want that.

There's no way we'd sell Tyson for any less than we paid for him, especially after he signed a new contract this year.

Everyone has a price, but his isn't that - especially to them w**kers

:D ;D ;D :D :D :D :D

Panic over then???

I cant see it myself. It's not like Derby are on the up, they were one point ahead of us in the end, and there seems to be a massive feel good factor about our club at the moment.
No offense to Clough but I think theres questions about his experience and capability whereas our manager has proven his worth. It wouldn't be too far fetched to imagine them struggling next year (touch wood). So even for the extra wages I cant see Tyson being up for it, or Billy for that matter.

Commons??? Yeah okay so he's upped his price and his wages?? But why? Because he's done exactly the same as he did for us. Granted this is a league higher, and the bitch scored against us, but he's still a work shy injury prone camera whore. That price tag is also rediculous as we have all discussed.

Commons left us for a team who had just been relegated from the Premier League and had 'promised' that they'd go straight back up.

Tyson won't leave for a team on an even par with us. Especially not for that little money.

for gods sake i hope this isnt true.

will nigel clough and derby just f*** off!

and please god....NO DELE ADEBOLA!!

Adebola wouldn't be a bad signing, because he wouldn't be first choice. I still think he could do a decent job really.

People seem to have stars in their eyes because the name Ched Evans was banded about.

Adebola would be a good sqaud player for us, giving us something different, a big target man is what we have missed. He would give King Billy options, and I am sure signing an experienced striker like Adebola will benefit Earnie.

Tys has a reasonable amount of time on his contract.

He's valued here.

He's proven he's capable of operating at a higher level than when we bought him.

We bought him for £675k (I think).

Why the f*** would we sell him for less?

That was the point I was making before.

I'd expect no less than a million for him.

Didn't we turn down 1.2million from Bristol last year?

Why would we sell for less than we paid? Silly Derby.

Wasn't the first thing Davies do was offer Tys a contract? 2 years I think? 400k is a joke bid. Is Nigel just trying to buy anyone? Desperate

Desperate Derby knowing that the fans will be unhappy at the prospect of a bunch of bargain basement unknown signings. Suggest the possible signing of a player who the fans would love to see but in reality they have no chance of signing.

Some guy on 606 claiming to be in the know is suggesting we've been offered a goalie that we were after in January. He's being all evasive and not giving names but reckons the goalie signed a new contract with his club in January. He rules out Camp and Westwood.

I reckon he is referring to Bywater. Maybe a swap deal is on the cards with Tys?? Plus some money of course... :-*

Offering a derisory amount for Tyson? Has Marthur gone to work for D*rby?
