Good grief.

I'm not sure that Shaun is a step forward for Forest.

Accepting a bid isn't the same as selling...having a bid accepted isn't the same as buying.

Anderson, anyone...

How good of a captain is they guy? We have lacked a real leader for years now and I think it's good that BD can see that we need one, he tried Wilson, Perch and Morgan last year and all of them did'nt look like true leaders to me. We have been linked with Rob Jones, very good leader, Paul McKenna, another good captain and now Shaun Barker who is Blackpools captain.

Who next....?

BLACKPOOL'S Championship rivals Derby and Nottingham Forest are showing no signs of ending their interest in Shaun Barker.
The Seasiders defender remains a target for both clubs despite Ian Holloway's 'hands off' warning.

Derby have had two bids for the 26-year-old turned down, while Forest have also registered their interest.

Latest reports suggest that the Seasiders are holding out for £1m after both clubs made increased bids of £750,000.

There has been no official confirmation of these new bids but it is clear that Pool's resolve is being severely tested.

New manager Holloway is well aware of the fight for Barker and has insisted the club captain is going nowhere.

Holloway said: "Shaun has a three-year contract here and he won't be going anywhere unless we want him to.

"He shouldn't have signed that contract if he wanted to move on. It is as simple as that, really."

However, sources within the club suggest that Barker, who hails from the Midlands, has been unsettled by the interest and may favour a move away.

If the price is right, Pool may decide to cash in rather than have an unhappy player on their books.

Forest boss Billy Davies has made no comment on Barker but his Derby counterpart Nigel Clough confirmed that he is a target.

Clough said: "We will see what happens over the next few weeks."

Barker could be part of a deal which sees striker Liam Dickinson move in the opposite direction.

Makes change, a right back converted to centre half instead of the other way round. Another Nicholas Lyndhust look a like as well......perhaps BD wants the defence to distract forwards with their humour next season......oh wait they were funny last season and it did not work.

Seems like a straight fight between us and Direby... Clough has done his dealings in public, Davies is keeping he cards close to his chest....

I am thankful of our choice of manager :)
