With a large majority of the forum going mental over us not having announced any signings, I thought I must have not noticed everyone around us signing people.

Obviously the Sheep have made some mightily impressive non-league signings to take care of putting the cones out for training.

But who else has actually announced any signings? So I went to the BBC Football page and had a look at the Championship headlines:

So out of that lot, nobody other than the mighty Peterborough United seem to have announced a signing recently - a player I've never heard of from Hereford for £200k. Nice.

Other than that it's all 'Soandso target soandso.'

So what have I missed? Which other clubs have made some signings I'm not aware of?

Off season transfers is normally an area we've done very well in recently - Cohen, Moussi, Earnie and Garner to name a few. Admittedly we seem to dislike the January window for some reason.

So lets cut all this fury that we haven't signed Dexter, Gunter, anderson and co. Until such time that they appear on the above headlines board signing for another club, it's still game on for their signatures.

Not particuarly bothered that no one has yet been confirmed.

It will happen.

We do tend to be able to do good business in the summer (get everyone you want now Billy because you'll get no one in January), so I expect several new faces before the season starts.

We were, if you recall, promised a busy month of June, there's plenty of time left. (of course, we'll put aside the knowledge of who it was said that - but he was serious about it).

The thing is, BD opened his fat gob and said we were going to get people in early and do our business sooner rather than later. If he'd have said we were going to be careful, take our time with signings and not be held to ransom, we'd have assumed things were going to take f***ing ages like normal, and have waited more patiently. At least, that's how I feel about it. I got my hopes up that BD was going to be announcing things very quickly, because he said he was going to do that.
