Season tickets

I'm moving back to blighty after living in exile in Poland for the last 6 years and I plan on getting a season ticket & wandering down from Edinburgh every other weekend.

Will I have to pay for the full season, or will they discount the season ticket by a percentage of the games already played? I realise that it's only a couple of quid involved, but thought I'd ask!

I'm not sure but I think they only sell Season Tickets on a full season or half season basis. I've never heard of a pro rata arrangement but that doesn't mean it's not possible. Check by calling the Ticket Office.

I would certainly do some maths though too as it may work out cheaper to buy-as-you-go on a game by game basis considering evening games which you probably won't be able to make if you're traveling such a considerable distance. Would also mean that you can sit in varying parts of the stadium for a different experience. Buying tickets on line is easy using your Client Ref. and availability shouldn't pose to be too much of a problem other than for the Derby home game just after Christmas.

Not sure if it says anything on the Official Site but might be worth a read.

whilst were on teh subject of season tickets, what's Forests rules on student tickets, do you just need an NUS card or are they more specifif in asking that you are a fulltime student?

Just checked the OS and it states that a Student Concession ticket is available for block G of the Brian Clough Stand Upper subject to a valid NUS Student Card with photograph and expiry date to be produced at the turnstile with the student ticket. Doesn't mention anything about whether the student needs to be fulltime.

Any old uni card will do. Most unis have the NUS logo on it, but I'm sure that they won't descriminate against those that don't.

Likewise with the season ticket, if you go into the ticket office offering to spend £300 plus on a season ticket, I'm sure they wouldn't turn you down.

The OS does state 'with expiry date' though so it sounds like they've clicked onto that one! lol

No, they don't. When I was at Uni and ordered my tickets over the phone I was never asked for proof when collecting tickets or through the turnstiles.

It might have changed now, mind.

Super, I've started doing some evening courses which entitles me to an NUS card, just a shame its in Brian Clough really!
