Was watching East Midlands Today earlier and both the Sh**p & Lesda have frozen the price of ST for next season..............

Will Forest follow this trend?

I doubt it.

I would be astonished if they did, but who knows!

It may of course depend on which Division we are playing next year...

Yes. They will stay pretty much the same, give or take a couple of %.

There. I've done it. I'm the voice of optimism!

Depends on whether or not we're serious about promotion next year...

I hear that because we've decided to scrap our transfer policy and play the U17's, the club have devised a 'buy now, pay when they realise their potential' scheme for next years ST renewals.

I like it. ::)

Every season I despair as clubs across the country offer 'early bird discounts', major renewal incentives and budget prices for kids.

Forest tend to wait until the middle of the summer before announcing their small increase.

They'll probably go up if we stay up. They wouldn't dare give us a price rise to swallow with a relegation would they?

Just been speaking to a guy who is a steward at Leicester and he tells me that the proces are frozen ONLY for people who renew within the next 2/3 weeks. At that time the prices rise by 5% and shortly after they go up another 10% so it's not as clear-cut as it makes out

I think they'll probably freeze like most clubs are doing.

It's more to do with the economic climate than anything. Whilst some of us don't think too much of shelling out every twelve months for a new season ticket, a rise in a time when a lot of people are finding themselves in a difficult situation could cut the support of the club by anything up to 2-3,000.

There'll be a nominal rise if we stay up, they'll hold if we go down.

There will be no early-renewal incentive, just the usual poxy 'discount'.

It would be a heinous act for the club to ignore the precedent set across the country.

An awful lot of people are in and out of work, and half of those who aren't walking around saying: "Oooh eck, it's that credit crunch in't it?" And subsequently refusing to buy household goods, or anything from Sainsbury's.

After the less than stratospheric climb in sales last summer, I do fear that the public's perception of financial doom will do wretched things to our attendances next season.

What's wrong with early bird renewal? Reward fans who will sign up regardless of league status. What's wrong with making a genuine effort to bring in the kids? Innumerable clubs are offering staggering prices for children signing up with a full-paying adult. Why not make the decision now instead of being the last club in the country to reveal policy? Again.

I do sometimes wonder about Mark Arthur's salary and how it is justified.

I would hope to see that from the club. But knowing what the club are like, I'd say a price increase justified by some crap about signing new players etc

Remember when we first got relegated down to league 1. The club said then that if we got promoted they wouldn't raise the price of season tickets, they failed so therefore the prices increased

as someone that's contemplating getting a season ticket next season I'd love them to freeze the prices
