Season Ticket Renewal

Does seem to me to have been a bit of a scam to get a few more £’s in.

We joined the list as gave up our ST years ago having moved from Nottingham and could just buy a ticket to any game we wanted as we were crap. When we came up we had to join the membership which is fine - but we have now had 4 years of the “Bronze” Membership and despite having been to multiple games a season, (we did 20 this year) there has been no sniff of an “Upgrade” just hoping next season we get a chance to move up the corperate ladder having spent north of £2k this season on Tickets alone.

So it looks like ST will only be offered to Gold members who were added to this “list” automatically. And the rest was basically a bit of a scam?
Also what is that £10 membership income actually gaining the club in the grand scheme of things? A weeks wage for MGW? Makes you wonder what their thinking is really.

The fairer system would to just go on booking history and reward those who attend the most games regardless of membership flavour. If that's a Pro member, all good. If it's a core member who wasn't lucky enough to get on the membership ladder a few seasons ago, all good too.

Maybe the club are worried about a drop in SC resale tickets and the markup they get on those..........

Said it before - but the £10 waiting list scheme is a con as any season cards that are ever offered will only ever get to Pro Members who were also members pre Premier League. This was never advised previously!

Having said that - my lad's been to every home league and cup game since promotion and still hasn't been offered a season ticket.

I want know what "significant booking history" means as i was told it could be as little as 6 games per season.

Regarding the booking history part I have mates who are ST holders and 1 is a Gold memeber and we as Bronze members have been to more games than them over the last 2 seasons. 1 Was a Gold member last seaon and was offered an Upgrade to a ST - he basically only went to the "Sky 6 games" and same this year with his ST. And the other did maybe 5-10 games Max? And as was on TV often couldn't be bothered. But as a Gold member will likley be offers a ST.

i did wonder if the club would go down the route that others have that you have to vist X number of games a season (say 70%? So 14 out of 19 games, we all have lives and Holidays etc) or you can't renew your ST. I know this is contrversal and would need some thought but would stop this happening where people hord/barrier off new ST holders coming in?

Close.

It was a scheme with several parts:

Part 1 was to weaponise part of the fanbase against the rest

Part 2 was to use the alleged size and readiness of the waiting list to get away with swingeing price rises under the cover of "well if you don't want to pay it, f*** you and we've got 30,000 on a waiting list who will"

Part 3 was a quick cash grab.

The reality is that despite (according to the accounts) a couple of thousand ST's not being renewed, the amount of new STs offered to people on said list was likely 1% of that number - remember..the club absolutely doesn't want season ticket holders - there's more cash to be made from one-off sales at full price...

...AND they pushed through swingeing price rises, AND they pocketed a chunk of cash.

A very successful operation.

Still basing priority on a "fastest fingers" race 5 years ago is mental. I only managed to get silver then, but upgraded to pro the next year and have been to every game league and cup since I moved to Notts at the end of 21/22. Yet I'm behind ex-gold members in the queue - some of whom might not even go all that often, as per @Beardo7 above.

For the life of me I can't understand why it isn't just whoever has attended the most games since memberships were introduced, then work your way down the list.

The £10 to join the waiting list is surely designed to level out what others pay for their membership?

Whilst pro members get first dips on tickets post ST holders and get added to the season card 'Waiting List' they do pay a premium for said membership.....

I mean this is a case in point - we have paid over £2k this seaons on the 20 games we went to, yes 7 of them were in Europe so we went to 13 League games and paid well over £100 a time so will be north of £1.5k. And also saw us win TWO games in that time Brentford in August and then Burnley in bloody April!... 8 months of turning up and not seeing us win suprised we kept it up! Suppose it's the hope that kills you :ROFLMAO:

If we had ST in where we sit Upper Trent or Bridgford would be arounf £1.2k for the ST for all 19 games.

This is a load of balls:

quite right. It’s a nonsense. I was Silver Y1 and top tier Y2-current season. Not been to as many games as you have mind you…

I have a feeling that by the time I'm at the front of the queue they'll be knocking down the Main Stand and selling no more until it's completed 😂

Frustrating when I've been loyal going to most home games with a long booking history on the same reference going back to the Championship and even as far back as the League One days.

Significant Booking History for the 21/22 - (y)
Pro Membership for the 23/24, 24/25 and 25/26 seasons - (y)
Gold Tier Membership in 22/23 - ❌ (I hadSilver)

****sakes, lmao.

Someone took a look at the last lot of accounts and determined that there were less season tickets year on year (i.e. they hadn't been releasing all the non-renewed STs). It's on here somewhere.

So I'm not holding my breath.

That is incorrect information, someone posted on here direct communication and Forest accounts cocked up with the figures they submitted.

Been keeping an eye on the seat map today and it's been interesting. During the day it looks like they've blocked out more of the Upper BC than at first - now wings only whereas more of the inner blocks were available. Hard to tell therefore how many have been sold through the day but I'd reckon ~500 or so.

I asked the ticket office about that. The data was incorrect. I think the ticket office’s version of events is that season card numbers are probably at all time high.

Much like what the away memberships already have become it feels like home season tickets are becoming a closed shop too.

Did they provide the correct figures out of interest? I know this was discussed in another thread but I couldn’t recall seeing amended figures.

Although the club haven’t provided figures on the update yesterday at least they announced this promptly with the rough criteria.

At the start of this season the club announced future sro- renewal of Memberships unless you opted out. This could be interesting
