Sad News R.I.P Blaine Thomas

Last night one my best mates passed away, he was only 17 with his 18 in two weeks, he was a life long forest fan and season ticket holder.
he was so young only 17 not even 18 yet, the nicest guy i ever knew and never had trouble with anyone, off to uni next year with his life ahead of him.
it was all unexpected after collapsing at home while getting ready for the game on monday morning, we get a text off his girlfriend saying he'd been taken to hospital after colapsing shortly before the game and she'd let us know more when he came out from theater. i got the call half way through the 2nd half that they couldnt save him and he would be dead by the end of the night, it got to about 1 in the morning and he hadnt gone yet so they turned the machine off.
its all happend so fast and im still in shock, how he could be with us one minute and gone the next.

So sorry to hear, its terrible losing mates at that age but it does make you stronger

I've been through this with 2 mates. It's hard as hell and tragic but it gets better and soon you will remember the great times. Good luck to you and to Blaine's family. He'll probably be watching the Ipswich match with Cloughie.

Terrible news, really brings home the chilling nature of your own mortality.

A former school comrade (and football teammate) was killed a couple of years ago at age 19 after being attacked on a night out. Even though I hadn't seen him since leaving secondary school it really affected me and those that had known him - really nice guy.

The same happened to me at the same age but my old school mate died of cancer.

It just goes to show how fragile life can be.

Very sad news indeed, i was going to post about this last night after my son Mitchell told me about it, but thought someone who knew him would be better to do so,
Sad loss especially at only 17, brings it home even more when my son is only 17 too :(

I sit on Row P of U1 and someone came up and told some of their friends about this during the second half on monday. :(:(

very sad to hear, i would ask for a minutes silence because i dont think a minutes applause shows the same amount of respect. R.I.P with cloughie
