Re: Roy Kean

i wasnt around when he was with forest, and TBH i dont really like him! i respect him, but not like him. but if he did a good job for forest then id be more than happy to give him a clap. and the post name is supposed to be Roy Keane :)

Re: Roy Kean

He deserves a good reception at Forest. Even though I was too young to see him play, the fact in three years he established himself as a legend at Forest and persuaded Fergie to pay a record fee for him says it all.

I think he's a shit manager and we had a lucky escape in not appointing him though.

Re: Roy Kean

Indeed. Whatever happened to the skilful, attack-minded, skinny young Irishman that played in the garibaldi?

Goal scoring midfielder rather than the snarling, ref chasing, Haaland killing beast Fergie turned him into.

Miserable git, and proud.
Re: Roy Kean

Probably get the same sort of reception that he did in the two games v Sunderland last season, not a bad one.

He always got a bad one when he came back as a player for Man U though.

Re: Roy Kean

I'll give him a clap if he catches my eye. I cant think of any ex forest players or staff I wouldn't clap though. I just like clapping. I sometimes clap quietly when the other team score a good goal or perform some magical ball control (the last time was ryan giggs on the halfway line, took the ball immediately under control with his foot from st. michaels clearance).

I'm going to call him a scruffy haired puff.

I'll be sat at home when I do this, that should give me enough of a head start.

I for one will not be giving him any kind of reception. I will never forgive his assault on Alfie. Charlie on the other hand should get a decent reception!

Re: Roy Kean

I think all his badge kissing when he had already agreed to go to Man Utd if we were relegated was just down to the nievity of youth, did himself no favours with me over the Haaland incident nor the mardy he chucked when he walked out on Ireland in the World Cup. Great player at Forest but personally just feel indifferent to his return, will neither boo nor clap. Certainly don't want him as manager though

Whatever the reception, it certainly wont be as bad as his first return with Man U which was the most hate filled volley of abuse Ive ever heard on Trentside.

It was great!!

I remember that well

O Stanley Stanley, he beat up Ulrika in a Paris bar! lol

He got so much abuse for 90 minutes - it was pi55 funny

I'll give Keane a good reception, a good reason is that they hadnt won a game until they played dierby then they beat them and same again last week. 6 points of deirby is worth a clap in my book

Re: Roy Kean

Keane was only ever good for Forest. Cost us nothing, played out of his skin for three seasons - especially the relegation season when he played quite a few games at centre back and was bloody good there. Then left for the champions of England when we got relegated, banking us a british record fee in the process.

As much as I want top players to play for the club I couldn't blame him for leaving in those circumstances and his fee went a long way to paying for Collymore and Cooper that summer.

Some of the things he's done since he left I have hated. But much about him I have loved. His will to win and unwillingness to accept mediocrity were top notch in my opinion and he is the only Manure player that I have never said a bad word about.

Absolute legend and I'm glad that he has some history with Forest.
