Rovers look to keep Mills

Gary

No wonder my post count..
Feck...

With they amount they want for him, they may as well sell him off and bring in a premiership player for that price!!

Its not surprising he wants to stay really - O'Kelly also revealed that the club had taken Barrow striker Jason Walker on trial after he impressed in a friendly against the two clubs last weekend.

To be fair to Donny Mills & Stock could be the difference between them staying up and going down this year as the squad is hardly great. As far as I know their finances are in order so if they did sell these two they could lose out overall by going back down.

I wonder if this is a smokescreen for another target?
The only smoke screen I would be interested in is if John Ryans new office (inside the ground) went up in smoke.

Hey - first time post on LTLF

This is just an obvious attempt by Donny to try and up the price of the player. Think about it logically.

Nothing has been said about Matt Mills for a couple of weeks. Meaning either the deal is dead, or Forest/Brum are negotiating with Donny.

If Donny want to keep Matt Mills, they should remain silent. This indicates to fans and other clubs that he won't be moving.

By issuing a statement like this, they only seem to be interested in raising the price. They say they would only sell for an unbelievable amount, but if it came in, they would consider it.

Sounds like DRFC have decided they want to cash in on Matt Mills, and are reminding the clubs he is there, but they want a reasonable amount for him.

They(donny) certaily like to pimp these players out. I'd feel dirty if i were mills, touted around like a whore.

It's a bit like the Dexter "I'm happy at QPR" story a couple of weeks back.

I imagine the player wants out now, since he'll make more cash at either us or WBA, Donny are now milking the situation.

Welcome.

You are spot on. Our offer is still on the table and Donny are beginning to sweat because no other offers have come in. Meanwhile Forest are now courting Whitbread... Hence this press release which sounds a bit desperate to be honest.
In other words...expect Mills to be signing in the very near future.

Welcome Super Garth

You could well be right... Maybe we should pull our offer or reduce it by a quarter of a million to see what they say. lol

They'll not bluff our Billy.

If the rumours regarding Wolves or Birmingham had any substance to it a deal would have been done by now.

Both clubs may have enquired but believe me neither has put a bid in so that only leaves us.

Ryan is a Tw@t end of.

They tell you Mills is happy, but I'll bet against it - Donny are not an ambitious club by any imagination and for this reason and the fact that they have p!ssed the lad around all summer he would walk down the A416 to Nottingham to join us.

He'd be better off if he walked down the A614 :D

More like they won't bluff Mark Arthur. Better and bigger than Doncaster Rovers have tried that and failed.
