Robert Earnshaw

I was actually thinking about this the other day after reading the Paul Smith thread. Looking back over the last few games he has missed some good chances that he should be scoring, surely if he had scored these our position in the table could be far better?

I admit should have put one away v swansea at least however his performances have been very good so i would say we cant compare him to smith who has been consistantly crap!

I think the service to him is sometimes lacking. It's no good firing the ball at head/chest height to him.

And if we had anyone else in the side who had any where near his goals to games ratio we wouyd be fine.

If blame is the game, you need to look elsewhere. I would start with our goals conceded stats.

But you cant win games if your not scoring goals!

We haven't scored in a third of our league games so surely that must accout for something?

Shocking thread. At least pick on Tyson first! Even that would be harsh!

For the amount of games he's started, he's done well. Especially considering his service has been shite.

Amazing thread :nowink:

Every striker misses more shots than they score, if he scored with every shot he certainly wouldn't be playing in the championship with us!

How many games when earnie has played haven't we scored in?

The service to Earnshaw has been poor most of the season. the balls that have been played to him good, he has scored from mostly

I was hoping for responses such as "lack of service"

so tell me why dont people say the same about the 4 people in front of this guy?

Were you waiting for the response that said you were wrong about how many he's scored or the one where it pointed out how often he's been injured?

give him the ball to feet more instead of over the top.20 000 Reds fans and John McGovern say that so why cant Billy

9 goals all season.
What you been smoking?

Earnie might seem to some that at times he's not too bothered, but if he had the team behind him he'd smash it. He bags goals from anywhere. Poached or picked out. He's quality. There are about 18 more players you can have a go at b4 him, and maybe a manager who's regime should have waited till preseason 9-10.
