I made the bloody transfer thread, it's just this time is the second time we've been linked with him so thought I should post it in the main transfer forum.

No, his contract runs out next summer, so it seems Colchester were just being tight!

Maybe that's all Colchester could afford, and we are just the Manchester City of the lower leagues, going round inflating prices.

It might've been more than £100k actually, but not much more I wouldn't have thought.

I wouldn't say Colchester were being tight, he's probably not worth much more than that.

Can people stop moaning about the transfer thread every time someone posts something, it never used to be a problem. In fact these threads are what I check the site for.

I don't have time to read through a 25 page thread. I just want to come on here and take a quick look at who we've been linked with.

There is a sub forum now, whats the problem with one thread per player in here?

Sorry mate, I didn't really mean you. I guessed you were joking. It just seems everytime someone posts something someone complains about were it's posted.

Was speaking with one of my friends back in Edinburgh about an hour ago. His son currently plays for one of the Hibs youth teams and he was telling me that there is a possibility that Rob may be in the Midlands before the weekend, apparently he is debating over the Colchester deal because of an offer on the table from an East midlands club.

Yes, as do I. Means the actual banter is not cluttered with crap. At least you can set aside time to wade through this if you please... Much much better :)

Colchester are being a bit silly. He is worth far more than that. Hibs are a decent team and he is their captain and best player. I watch Hibs quite a lot on Setanta and he has always impressed me.

It would be over £500,000 in my opinion.

Hibs reportedly rejected a 1 million offer for him last summer (dunno who from) Not sure why they would now change their minds, although they do also say that his wife is not happy up there...

I heard his wife was unhappy up there. The hoover broke down last week and she hasn't found a decent repair man yet.
